I can think of many ways to stop the erosion from taking the dam. It’s completely within reason to engineer a temporary work around that could stop the erosion. I dunno if they’ll have the money or the resources to make it happen, but I can tell you there’s some “damn” resourceful people out there don’t underestimate the will of creative minds to craft a solution.
Sacramento could very easily be the next New Orleans. If all this water backs up the San Joaquin delta, presto, the canal now pumps San Fran Bay saltwater.
The massive pumps that take all the central valley water up and over to LA no worky.
Further up from Oroville, the Shasta dam has to go on full release into the Sac river, which the Feather joins just north of Sacramento. Sacramento is already on flood alert from the Jan storms off the American river.

What you say reveals the problem with this dam and its supposed back-up spillway plans. All of the back-up components failed directly as a result of the main spillway failure. They were never really back-ups in the first place.
Also, I will say that the dam may very well fail now even if we had no more rain at all from here on. Because the spillway continues to erode back up toward the dam as they release water. And they must continue to release it.

The link is a pain. Have to wait till you get a skip add then have to go back to it again so if you can get it somewhere else might be easier. It was good and Russia in there too near the end.

I’ve watched for the last several years the laying down of chemtrails either over California or just off the coast; then using HAARP to push any and all precipitation either around California or move it on east of the Sierra’s so none would fall in California, thus creating their many years of drought. Same with the Atmospheric River; pushed north or south to prevent any rainfall in California.
Now they are doing the opposite, IMO to create this disaster that is unfolding; using chemtrails and HAARP to guide the Atmospheric River so it will do the most damage.
Or, all the above is just Mother Nature in a bad mood and all the weather disasters around the world these last 15 to 20 years are only coincidental and have nothing to do with weather warfare. You decide!
My Vietnam survivor friend told me in the late ’60s I think,……”My Copper? No matter who you vote for, its always the same gov’t that gets in”. Every president in my memory, after they get into the White House, they always get taken over by foreign special interests.
Things just got worse and worse, even during Ron Reagan. ’81-’89 boost in globalization. Big tax breaks to buy foreign made machinery. The so called Reagan defense build up to over ride private sector job losses. Then papa Bush got 4 more years ’89-’92. The Fed jacked up rates and created a recession before his second term campaign so he would not get elected. Right after that, they dropped rates back down.
The Clinton, ’92-’00 STRONG DOLLAR POLICY?? you guys remember that?? If you were a gold bug you were PISSED off constantly. Gold down to $250/oz? Siver $4/oz?!! If you a manufacturer you remembered all the factories closing down. 1980 to 2001.
Looking at all my watch lists, and seeing what I see, suddenly got a feeling, and reasons to believe, that the stock market will crash soon, maybe even tomorrow. That last blast above 20,000 Dow could be a bullish sign, but can also be a blow-off top.
Another point, I mentioned once before. The Dow and Gold have BOTH been going up year to date. That’s not supposed to be, one of the two is lying. Place your bets. 🙂
The comments on the article I posted at 13:43 are quite telling. The powerhouse was shut down first because of backflow from the spillways clogging it. Now also because the powerlines across the spillway are endangered. They cannot open the powerhouse raceways with no load on the generators. The key here is that they have NO WAY to lower the lake level thru the powerhouse raceways. Now the ‘normal’ spillway they are using will only lower the lake level 50 feet. That is the spillway intake level. Without the powerhouse operational, they have NO WAY to lower the lake level 120 feet that they would like.
