Naturally they don’t ever want to “win” and call it a day. Like Vietnam. They wanted “the work” to last as long as possible. They have been “milking” the jobs. This crap started way way back with those kids throwing stones. They all grew up and have kids and grand kids with the same attitude. Culminating with 9/11.
I still think after 9/11/01, TPTB realized their “might makes right” was not working at all. So prepared and groomed Obama for 2008, picking a Muslim so as to get brownie points with the Middle East Muslims.
