Here’s what’s wrong with the Russian alibi:
(1) The Russian story never held water because bombing the warehouse was allegedly full of explosives and chemical weapons.
(2) The nerve gas that killed the people in Idlib was almost certainly sarin, but some people say it could’ve been tabun.
(3) Whether sarin or tabun, the result of bombing the warehouse would’ve been the same: Both agents create hydrogen when they contact metal.
(4) The nerve agent wasn’t in binary form. That is, it had been mixed, Otherwise it wouldn’t have killed anyone.
(5) Therefore if a container full of sarin or tabun were ruptured by a high-explosive, the agent would’ve splashed everywhere.
(6) As soon as the agent came into contact with metal, it would’ve produced hydrogen. The result would be a massive fireball
(7) The German zeppelins of World War I were filled with hydrogen. Static electricity could cause them to explode.
(8) Any release of sarin or tabun in a warehouse during a bombing would’ve resulted in a giant explosion, not a poisonous gas cloud.
(9) The Russians are lying.
When you strike a depot, chemical weapons are incinerated, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIT0fVUTyUA
