Vagus nerve stimulation is sometimes used in emergencies like tack like racing heart rate or on other end to be aware of dangers from strangulation which can cause it like meconium aspiration due to loss of control of bowel in a infant with cord strangulation during a say delayed birth or induced labor complication which can collaps babys lungs if not quickly aspirated from mouth or throat prior to taking a breath so knowing what it can cause.
