So normally I would defer to Suspicious Observer space weather channel to explain these outages as solar occurrances…
However, like the LA, SF and NY outages last week, with nobody in between affected, why aren’t the other providers like Telus dark?
Too many unexplained instances lately that make me go Hmmmm.
@Ipsofacto re 17:00 “outspoken environmentalist-turned-regulator”
That’s pretty interesting to me. Coincidence? Or part of a new master plan. It fits the “reversal of the past” thing I’ve noticed since 2008. I hear Trumps environmental guy is NOT an environmental guy…
“Scott Pruitt is a tireless and knowledgeable advocate for his cause of cutting environmental protections. He knows the statutes that govern the EPA, and (like the Obama administration) he knows how to interpret them to bring about his policy ends.”
It makes sense, if they want to restore the US economy, they have to shut down many foreign businesses with new regulations, and at the same time, get rid of regulations here in the USA.

Maybe too late for me but people are leaving and have left. Problem is if people don’t nip this in the bud it will be everywhere. We got New Orleans taking down war memorials because it offends people while Alaska allows a portrad of the president being beheaded. Someone said can we take mosques down because of 911? . A school in MN may not put a pic of a gun club in the school book because of the guns. Can’t get to us brainwash the kids right. Oregon having issues right now stopped some sort of parade. First and second amendment issues again. Maybe Florida and Texas only states left with some sanity or Ohio but then Ohio helped is get Obama so learns the hard way but at least they learned.

You said it Pal! Orwell’s insights into the future were just uncanny … almost as if he visited there!
I’m sure you’re going down right now and buy one of those cameras that can watch you dress and sleep and do whatever else in your bedroom! 🙂
Glad I kept clear of this place
Philippines bans open-pit mining as minister toughens crackdown
MANILA (Reuters) – Philippine Environment Secretary Regina Lopez said on Thursday she will ban open-pit mining in the country, toughening a months-long crackdown on the sector she blames for extensive environmental damage.
The ban comes just days before the outspoken environmentalist-turned-regulator faces a confirmation hearing in Congress that could lead to her removal as minister after a storm of complaints from pro-mining groups.
Lopez, who has already ordered the closure of more than half the country’s operating mines and has previously described open pit mines as “madness”, said it was within her prerogative to ban the practice, which is allowed under Philippines mining law.
“Each open pit is a financial liability for government for life,” she told a media briefing. “It kills the economic potential of the place.”
The ban will take effect immediately but will not cover existing mines, she said.
Mining is a contentious issue in the largely underexplored Southeast Asian country after past examples of environmental mismanagement.

ipso facto @ 16:25 A Modern Day ‘Prophet’
G. Orwell’s book, ‘ 1984’ spoke of these times. Amazing how accurate his views proved to be correct.

Amazon wants to watch you get dressed: New “Echo Look” camera to spy on you in your own bedroom and bathroom
(Natural News) Not content to merely track your interests in books, movies and products, Amazon.com, predominantly owned by globalist Jeff Bezos — the same owner of the fake news Washington Post — now wants to watch you get dressed in your own bedroom.
The company has introduced a $199 camera called “Echo Look” that uploads images of you (from your own bedroom) to Amazon servers where, we’re told, Amazon will make “wardrobe recommendations” you might want to buy.
Scum all over closes, like the bad relation we all dread.

Now can you afford a better brand of coffee besides the ‘Generic’ stuff ?
Q. Is there a ‘Silver Bitcoin’? I notice the Gold/Silver ratio is about 73:1. Silver has a lot of catching up to do at some point.
Meanwhile, the UNmanipulated…
fungible, transactional, digital ‘gold’ of the future..
Bitcoin is $1,318 and rising. http://www.coindesk.com/price/
And despite what eeos thinks, I KNOW there are lurkers here that hold Bitcoins. It’s a good proxy for where gold SHOULD be going, if it wasn’t rigged.

Ipso on taxes
Was watching the Demos talk about Trumps first 100 days while they did nothing but try to block everything he did.
Did nothing for any of the things they complain about either but caused the problems he’s trying to fix. The GOP been useless to screen him as they say in sports. Just stand around with their thumbs in their mouth watching, Public in general doesn’t realize bringing taxes and regs down and re negotiating nafta and TTP that the demos did to threaten jobs will bring them back or stop Hopefully.
They don’t trust the gov demos more from leaving. Unions in particular with union campaign donations that they might bring them down temporary then after they go to the expense of moving raise them back up plus their already mad about having to move. Especially small businesses and about unions. How unions drove textile businesses out by Ororeef. He should write a book on it. That they paid them well and also hired legal immigrants going back to war times then gov backed unions that bankrupted them.
Now watch Demos come cut saying Trump only helping the rich giving them a better tax deal not mentioning why.
He could do better with middle class. In sanctuary states they raise taxes to compensate for any loss tax revenue. In Calif. it cost about 80 dollars for a carton of ciggs. I’m waiting for the Mexican trucks with discount ciggs to appear like they did in LA. That and gas and sales taxes always being raised or tolls on some un-freeways.
Brown just signed a bill to cut funding to middle class schools to help the immigrant schools ” supposedly ” although think the money is being pocketed for pensions tax payers don’t get. That’s after duping too many middle class tax payers into more taxes helping their schools.
A woman here in another town of middle and upperclass neighborhood went to her kids new school and saw flags of all these countries and posted it. Said this is the US not the UN and was regretting changing her kids schools. Maybe they don’t want their funds cut who knows.
Then the 9 TH circuit talks about collusion and forcing things on people. People about had it. I can see a uptick on private schools and more middle class leaving. Meanwhile their kids go to private school while forcing their globalization brainwashing on everyone else.
Maddog
Yeah no real tough call they do it 90% of the time. The tough call is trying to call upside.
I think I’m with eeos, I’m not sure the scum can ever be defeated. I don’t think we win unless they decide they want pm’s to go higher.
One Of TPTB’s Many Major Problems?
Erratic and unstable currency values, leading to unstable and irrational commodity prices. Businesses and investors are trying to conduct business out here, and its not possible to make proper decisions, so the whole mess is net bad for business.
The “managers” have been making manual adjustments willy nilly when the system should be on cruise control. Â Remember the plane crash back in 2001 south of JFK? The plane hit some air turbulence.
The pilot kept hitting the rudder willy nilly, hard left and right, until the rudder broke off. Mistake? He did not wait long enough after each “adjustment” to see if it was enough. He was day trading the rudder, they same way these Mr Knowitall economists have been day trading the economy.
Chart, ridiculous unstable energy prices:

Chart, ridiculous unstable currency values:
http://finviz.com/futures_charts.ashx?t=CURRENCIES&p=d1
ANOTHER major problem? The value of taxpayer wages are to low to support gov’t functions, note $20 trillion debt.
ONE TRILLION: You could spend $1 million each day since Julius Caesar, 100 BC, and still not spend it all by today.

China’s gold consumption up in Q1
”
BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) — China’s actual gold consumption rose 14.73 percent to 304.14 tonnes in the first quarter of 2017 due to steady gold ornament sales and strong sales of gold bars, new data showed Thursday.
Thanks to strong demand around Chinese New Year, gold ornament sales rose 1.4 percent to 170.93 tonnes and gold bar sales surged 60.18 percent to 101.19 tonnes, the China Gold Association said.
The surge in gold bar sales came on the back of more people using them to hedge against risk as the public became more aware of its attributes, according to analysts.
Gold output in the first three months stood at 101.2 tonnes, down 9.29 percent from a year earlier, the association said.”
