My sentiment precisely. There is nothing else that makes sense. My trust and faith is in God. Our life on earth is a test. A brief time that allows us to show our love for others and for our creator.
Buygold @ 17:23…Why are we here??
I remember the first thing I learned in catechism in grade one. Why are we created? to know god, to love him and to serve him.
My state vote is Montana
- Lots of like-minded folks up there. With global weirding I think it’s going to have a climate much similar to Denver now. Denver is getting hotter and hotter. They are already calling Missoula the new garden of Eden. There’s lots of peach farmers that already know this there
Samb–I totally agree-our lives must have meaning and purpose-that is what I always have striven to acheive.
With solemn purpose and deep conviction I can truthfully say that all my life has been about making a buck and getting laid**.
On a separate note, we should not despair at our insignificance in a vast, purposeless and malignant universe, but wonder at the miracle of human life and out ability to imbue this world with human love and warmth.
**also, a good sense of humor will carry one a long way….
Wow samb – post of the year IMHO – wisdom beyond belief
“What Does it matter? If I live to 80 or 90 0r 110…What does it matter? Sure, if I am able to help others to some degree then it matters a bit but’, surely mostly to mine only soul. Who gets it right the first time out , in any endeavor?? Nature teaches us that practice makes perfect (or at best better then random)
If you have only one shot at living, at making it right from the get go…you would have little hope at all. Failure is the teacher, Forgiveness is the remedy. How you treat other humans is the measure.”
No clue why we’re here or what our purpose is and what we have to learn.
Very good post for a guy like me who has no clue. Thank you.

Keys to Longevity Gleaned From Centenarians=Strong social support has been scientifically verified as being the No. 1 factor that determines longevity and survival.
- Sardinia, which boasts the highest rate of centenarians anywhere in the world, has 6 centenarians for every 3,000 people. In the U.S., that ratio is 1 centenarian per 5,000
- Centenarians tend to have positive attitudes, optimism, a zest for life and a good sense of humor. Other commonalities include an active lifestyle; a fresh-food diet, often homegrown, and a strong social network
- Strong social support has been scientifically verified as being the No. 1 factor that determines longevity and survival. Its influence on mortality is so great, it surpasses the influence of weight and even eclipses the influence of smoking
An Active Life and Social Support — Keys to Longevity Gleaned From Centenarians
Failing to find any specific dietary influence (aside from the fact they’ve been eating real food for most of their life), what have researchers found when mining the minds of centenarians for clues to their longevity? In interviews and surveys with centenarians, including the ones interviewed in “How to Live to 100,” the following themes dominate: 7
Keeping a positive attitude and a sense of humor
|
Strong social network of family and friends
|
Exercising moderately but regularly (walking, biking, gardening and swimming, for example)
|
Clean living (such as not smoking or drinking excessively)
|
Living independently
|
Faith/spirituality/having a sense of purpose in life
|
Staying mentally active and always learning something new
|
An active lifestyle with (often hard) physical work and/or lots of walking
|
Indeed, the importance of social support, which most centenarians give credit to for their longevity, has been scientifically verified. As noted in the documentary, an American meta-analysis of published studies found strong social support is the No. 1 factor that determines longevity and survival. The influence of social support on mortality is so great, it surpasses the influence of weight and even eclipses the influence of smoking!
Good Sunday Morning Mr. Copper
I vote for Idaho as the new gov’t headquarters. 🙂
Seriously though, I don’t expect there to be a “United” States fifty years from now if that long. I’d think we’ll be broken up like the old USSR, whether it takes a civil war for it to occur depends on whether we have some sort of false flag or not.
Dem globalist swamp dwellers is some powerful critters. 🙂
Fed Meeting Next Week
Maybe getting the pre-Fed games as Maguire mentioned, however, don’t count me as thinking Maguire is right this time. 🙂 🙂
They better raise rates or I suspect Bitcoin will explode!!!
Re Drain The Swamp?
It would be a lot easier to abandon the swamp, ignore them, and just buy some property, build a new “Whitehouse” and start a brand new gov’t from scratch in another neighborhood. Preferably a conservative America first heartland state. New Hampshire? Idaho? Wyoming? Kansas?
The Southern border, East coast, west coast, pretty much Colorado and perimeters of the USA should be abandoned and written off, like rust and body rot around the lower edges of a car starting to rot out.
Morning Ororeef
I’m with you. Unfortunately Trump doesn’t seem to have anyone willing or able to help him drain the swamp. God bless him for as much as he’s gotten done on the economic and regulation front as he has without any help.
