My brother moved to Southern California in around 1975. One place was Desert Hot Winds Ca. He tells me once if you make yourself a sandwich, you have to eat it right away, before it dries up. I remember washing the rented car. It was 104 degrees. In the sun. You had to work fast. The soapy water would dry off, or evaporate in minutes. You would not even sweat. Very tolerable.
Correction, just noticed, 🙂
Desert Hot Winds Ca. S/B, Desert Hot Springs, Ca. Ten miles north of Palm Springs. Town known for natural rejuvenating hot mineral water springs. It has a 3 mo windy season that starts in March. It can pick up a 2X10 7 foot long, and hurl it. Hence, Rick and Trish have a good sense of humor, and renamed the town “Desert Hot Winds”.
