One Big Problem For The Economy Is Unstable Pricing
TPTB are in a situation like the pilots of that commercial aircraft that crashed in Sioux City Iowa. An engine blew, and shrapnel hit the hydraulics lines. They had to “go on and off the gas” to maneuver it. They made it to the airport, really tried their best, but it was impossible to make a “soft landing”.
Did Everybody Go To Bed Already??
Gold up $7 1253, and Silver up .18 at 12.61, are climbing in a strange uniform curve up, rather than the typical sudden zigs and zags.
These three month AU AG charts look like one month zigs and one month zags. They represent a photo of TPTB trying to make the economy go forward, but against a strong head wind. They are forced to use “tacking” like what a sail boat mariner would have to do going against the wind.

“12 tomato plants”
I think I’ll now refer to you as Mr. Tomato! 😉
Farmers around here have done very well with hay lately. I think I even read about it being shipped overseas. I guess if they can fill containers with paper recycling or rags and send it to China then they can certainly send hay.
There’s a ship in port now loading dairy cows headed for Vietnam.

I really cut back on the tomatoes this year. I have 12 plants, all heirlooms. Heirlooms typically take longer to produce than hybrids. I have several small green tomatoes which should be ripe when I get back from Belize on July 2.
The continual oversupply of wheat have caused many farmers in this area to plant canola and milo as an alternative. Marginal farmland has slowly over the years reverted to grass. Many have sold all their equipment and gone totally to grass and livestock. Others have gone to grass and hay. If I ever have to take over my wife’s farm, it’s grass and hay all the way!

Re your…
“irritates me that physical STUFF that requires so much effort to produce has to be given away for peanuts”
You’re exactly right. I made several posts about that. The people that actually produce important needs and wants, are treated like chumps, paid chump change, fair game for the greater good. Same thing for savers. If you have unspent funds, you are so wealthy and disliked you don’t deserve any interest payments.
Farmboy – A Friend Won $37 Betting on Handel
On the Web they have betting sites. This one had Handel chance of winning at 37% so he played the odds and came out a winner.
@Redneckokie – RE: wheat
Hi RNO,
thanks for that info.
I know next to nothing about crops, despite growing up in Wisc. farm country.
About 6 months ago I started looking at WEAT because I saw it hovering around 10+ year lows. I took a small position to keep my attention on it and also, I think, because it just kind of irritates me that physical STUFF that requires so much effort to produce has to be given away for peanuts…..while Federal Reserve notes that require no effort to produce can multiply without consequence.
So I guess I bought as a protest. I will probably hold it until it goes to zero. that’ll teach ’em.
commish @ 17:47 According To A Political Pundit I Respect, Pelosi Is In Deep Doo Doo
Says Hollywood types are calling for her head for misleading them in soliciting donations for the Ossoff campaign. She told them to send money as Ossoff was a for sure win, and when he got elected the Dems would start the impeachment of Trump. Obviously, that did not, is not, going to happen. Hollywood is out millions on Pelosi’s pledge.
🙂

Yeah that all may be true but what we really want to know is: How are your tomatoes doing? 🙂
Drb2. 12:29
corn and wheat have two different scenarios. The corn crop is just being planted and the weather is already in play. Corn has more on farm storage than any other grain so the farmers are waiting for the feed market or ethanol market for old crop.
The wheat market breaks down down three ways; hard red winter ( includes spring hard wheat), soft wheat and durum wheat. The durum wheat is also known as Minneapolis wheat. The durum wheat is in competition with soybeans and corn for acres planted. Beans and corn have squeezed the acreage for durum wheat so it has run much higher than Chicago or KC wheat. Harvest is over for KCwheat so the lows may be in place.
Be aware that markets tend to change direction or accelerate just before or after a major holiday. Those that have been in a multi month advance or decline are subject to a reversal. Those with a recent reversal may accelerate sharply.

Democrats are really too funny, anything and everything but blaming themselves and their policies for the election disasters. Sorry but this country just isn’t ready to be run by LGBT communists, maybe in 20 years when free colleges have polluted more young minds, but just not yet.
BTW – I see James Harden is about to sign a 4 year extension for $168 million. Racism in action…
Alex Valdor
LOL! I’m sure they’d appreciate it if you hauled off that nasty byproduct junk! 🙂
I Kid You Not ! Some Of The Excuses Why Democrats Lost Another Election
1.) The Weather Gods were against them. It poured rain yesterday in Atlanta, and the Democrat voters did not want to get wet. I guess those ‘Deplorable’ Republican voters just looked at it as a chance to get their Saturday bath in early.
2) Dems could not get through to the snowflakes because many live at home, and their parents shielded them from efforts to contact them. Mail sent to the mailbox and calls to the parents home were ‘blocked’. One parent defended their choice to intercept Democratic mail and phone calls by saying, ” When they get a job, and pay for their own phone, then they can get phone calls from whomever they want!” Another parent said, ” When they get a job, and have their own car, and pay for their own insurance and gas, they can attend as many ‘Get Out The Vote Rallies’ as they wish.” Good job parents!
3.) The Russians obviously interfered in the voting process.
4.) Georgia has Voter ID laws, and those that suffered through the rain could only vote once. Transplants from Chicago could not get their mind around this one.
5.) Bernie Sanders was not here to tell them what to do.
These kids are not ready to run a daycare, much less a Country ! LOL
And to add insult to injury, those that did make it to the Ossoff HQ for the
Election Night celebration were faced with a ‘Cash Bar’. They couldn’t even afford to pull a good drunk when the votes can in. And no one handed out ‘participation trophys. Whats with that?! 🙂
drb2 @ 12:29 My Guess Would Be Weather Issues
Redneckokie probably has a handle on those prices. If he aint out hunting or fishing maybe he can check in and give us an explanation. 🙂
Corn; Wheat
after a long time on the mat, corn & wheat have been a bit frisky the past few days.
Anybody have a guess – Does that mean anything?
