The Southwest Chief is “splitting the semaphores”. If you look closely at the semaphore blades, both of them really ARE split!

Just logged back on to see that was your post not Mr Coppers. I just read what you said instead of looked at the name. Was just too tired. Glad to hear from you. Hope you don’t send your cows to China, alive anyways. They treat animals horrifically. Your dad was lucky to have the country doctor. The only problem I saw with some countey doctors is some will put a time limit on people when a person sometimes is not ready. Not saying this doctor would. Now we have to watch Gov as far as that. Not just age related but what they consider quality of life many adjust too. Like well they can’t gold no more they’re done. Steven Hawkinga might beg to differ.
Behind the scenes
Anybody think the shadow Gov isn’t involved with the health care bill should read this. Phony and resentful Cruz just got back from a special meeting with the Kochs. They’re already planning the mid term elections while they stall with a unworkable healthcare Bill to undermine Trump.

That’s some scary story. Like something out of the twilight zone. Seems they could of done a better way to transport secret stuff. I remember they transported the A Bomb the SeaBees told me about as a Gramp was a comander over there no problem. Sadly I must say. Should of never happened that way. So what’s the insanity here. A bunch of people living off the internet losing touch with what’s real?
Mr Copper, he was lucky but still doesn’t account for tests treatments and medicine. One of my kids doctors took barter. Great doctor but was killed in the collision crash of the Canary Islands while on vacation. My husbands life long friend lost his mom on that same flight.
Care wasn’t as good then though even in 70s. After seening for instance how poorly they reconstructed the face of a Vietnam vet locally who didn’t have a chin I hit the doctors medical library. It left me sickened and angry. Men without jaws, or noses. They had a fake nose on one, you know those Groucho Marx glasses with nose. I guess he felt better than none or had a heck of a sense of humor. They needed extensive plastic surgery they probably never got. It’s a miracle some even survived. Best it doesn’t start in the first place.
Hey molyminer!
Great to hear from you. Glad to hear you are busy and hope the cattle business is booming for you.
Would love to get together again up your way if I could get some time off. Starting a new job in a few weeks. Get more vacation time so maybe. 🙂
oops … Banksters in action
Macquarie bank faces class action over advice on worthless Brazilian mine project
Macquarie Group faces a major class action over allegations some of its investment advisers artificially inflated the price of a small mining company before a sudden collapse wiped out many of its investors.
The investment bank’s brokers are accused of deliberately “ramping” stock in Cleveland Mining Group by playing a key role in the acquisition of a Brazilian iron-ore mine project with a potential value of $34 billion that turned out to be a worthless patch of jungle.
Remember The Old “Punch Bowl” Days During Greenspan?
The new “punch Bowl” for a long time now is a falling and lower currency value. The only difference these days is the sharing of the punch bowl.
Some years the USA gets it, then in other years they take it away from the USA and give it too all other countries. My guess is by looking at the long term currency charts, the central planners started taking the punch bowl away from the global economy, and returning it back to the USA where its most important.
They took the punch bowl away from America in mid 2014. You need to go to finviz, currencies, and click on monthly to see what I see. I can’t paste the link on this i pad.
Goldilocks and Mr. Copper
Up until about 10 years ago my father in law was seeing a doctor for 35 dollars cash. He wouldn’t take any insurance. Hi Buygold to busy to do any posting but lurk a little most days.
Capt. Hook
Hope you’re right about that because we’re being robbed blind by the crooks at the moment. Especially the last two days while the USD has been getting hammered.
Absolute bullshit.
I hope they can reduce the tensions
Putin & Trump will likely have contact on sidelines of G20 – Lavrov
Timing
More ‘little voices’ from various dark corners of the economic house of cards are indicating mid-august could be the ‘ultimate top’… and we know what follows.
Captain Hook is right. Physical ‘in hand’ is soothing at such times. I’m plugging in my Bitcoin drive and getting it in sync with the blockchain network in preparation for some transactions soon. I expect BTC to rise to a new high soon and I will be ready to take half out in physical. Regardless of the price, I have enough BTC equity to take some profit and get some home improvement purchases before the market bonfire shuts down everything.
Anybody seen Farmboy? Is he too glued to his day trading platform to stop in? If this doesn’t lure him out of the pond for awhile I don’t know what will.
Me Copper
The days of the 50 s are over. Doctors can no longer live on 5 dollars a visit. If you think about it they did okay minus driving time and wear and tear. If they saw say 30 places a day. That’s 150 a day and coukd deduct costs for travel. Not saying they saw that many. What was the average of a worker then weekly. Today such practice wouldn’t be safe plus how many would pay or fix it barter. Then entitlement insurance started up so now they’re charging more and trips to the doctor for kids no longer revolve around a occasional illness or accident. It’s called VACCINES. They call them well baby but that’s what it is. They have to come in to get multi vaccines making them sick. Another pharma lobby and no accountability. More cover ups. We were the guiney pigs, they showed up at our schools. It’s still going on with more and more shots. Now we have autism rates that were 1 in 10,000 in our day to as low as 1 in 49 but average 1 in 100. Another thing some politicians are being bribed.
They wanted to play socialism with healtg care ” for our own good” now it’s a disaster. All a show boat. I know people losing their heathcare because they’re provider pulling out. They can’t back out now because too many see it as a entitlement. They need to make it realistically affordable like something I mentioned and save deductables for much higher income and considering family size. People will not only be healthier they will have more income to spend say Disneyland with the kids and local shops. It helps everyone. Small business will no longer be forced fo give less hours if families can get their own affordable insurance or make it affordable for these businesses who don’t have to supplement costs. Part of the problem with youth and drugs is not just the ones who had a injury ir illness got addicted but depression of current events. It’s drawing them in as a coping the doom and gloom by the total mismanagemebt of the political system. No jobs or good paying jobs no future. They’re out to consume every sent you make like they are selfish and Resentful. It’s time people woke up faced them off ask them where they get off. All they see is the bribes. Warned this ” show” of their non working so called olan would happen.

Copy that goldilocks. You brought up some things I never thought of.
AngloGold Ashanti may axe up to 8,500 jobs at South African mines
World number three gold miner AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE:AU) (JSE:ANG) may cut about 8,500 jobs, or 30% of its workforce, at its South African operations, adding it also plans to halt some unprofitable mines.
Talks with unions over the looming restructuring aimed at “protecting the viability” of the company’s South African business over the long-term have already begun, AngloGold said in a statement.
As part of the upcoming changes, the gold producer intends to place its Kopanang mine and the Savuka section of the TauTona mine on care-and-maintenance, both a clear example of the challenges AngloGold is facing in its home country —rising costs and depleted ore reserves.

Mr Buygold
There are still a large number of hedge fund idiots long that crap that need to come out before the metals go anywhere. Then there’s the deleveraging coming.
Some people like to hold physical in hand at times like this.
It’s soothing.
