Loading ...Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers for myself and others impacted by these hurricanes. We were slammed by Rita in 2005. Caused heavy damage in my area. We lost most of our old beautiful oaks that had been part of our home stead since my people bought the place in late 1890’s. We cleaned up and rebuilt shop and barns. Homes come thru okay with minor damage. Then Ike in 2008. Major flood event for southeast Texas. My home and my families here all came thru Ike with minimal damages. We got thru it. Now Harvey, this kicked me and all my family hard. All 4 homes gutted to studs and drying. All other homes in the immediate area are in same condition. Many homes in Orange county damaged heavily. We don’t make the news. We work and we help each other and we survive. The American way. It’s the same or at least similar mindset that creates a country from scratch. One does what he must to keep going. Or, you could whine and cry about fema not being visible. That makes the news. As for me and my bunch, we work. Just thought id share a bit with friends. I do need to offer some thought on gold I reckon. I’m with Buygold, just a couple more months!
