New York Fed Calculates Inflation Is Running Hottest Since 2007

On Friday the New York Fed issued a new series of inflation gauge called the Underlying Inflation Gauge. Unlike the CPI and the PCE, it registered a reading of 2.7% August, the highest reading since November 2007.
