These days you have to worry about people shooting your fur baby’s though.I don’t think people got more sissy- fied as much as their want to shoot or kill something and lack of patience, skill and work ethics. Too much work to put a leash on them if scared or abandoned or escaped a home when a little female recuer does it all the time thing.
I watched a crime show and how mostly retired no longer 20-30 agile can get victimized my neighbors or their young adult kids. One couple from SC moved to Florida and had a young female visitor from SC visit with her unruly boyfriend.
They saw their displayed coin collection and found they got money from the sale of their home in SC. They came back later two guys came to the door asked to use their phone she let them in. Then the girls boyfriend came in. Long story short the bound them put them in trunk of car. Got their ATM pin ransacked their home took them to forest where they had already dug their grave put them in it buried them alive. In other words people they knew. Stay low profile armed even if you know them and don’t let people in wanting to use the phone.
