The last Honolulu Police Chief is currently on trial as the FBI charged him with corruption. Complex case is ongoing.
The police commission selected a female officer from the ranks as the new police Chief. Susan Ballard was praised as a “by-the-book” officer who “always told the truth”. So in her zeal as new chief, she now appears to be attempting to enforce a Hawaii law that is… on it’s face… unconstitutional.
So I expect a challenge of this eventually. But with the historical liberal-agenda bent of the Ninth Circuit court, such challenge will be turned back before it ever gets to the Supreme Court.
Most times I am deeply ashamed of the idiot government in this beautiful place that I live.
