i often spend spare time at a public park near here. there is a walking path around a small lake, perhaps a half mile in circumference. i amuse myself by feeding breadcrumbs to the ducks (and a few non-migratory canada geese) who live in the lake and the surrounding park.
the ducks spend a lot of time in the water, but never get wet.
it is a nice place to read, and to contemplate market trends and commodity prices. it is also frequented by lots of young people, some of whom are of the female persuasion, and in warm weather, they walk or jog around the lake in surprisingly scanty attire.
enjoying the scenery doesn’t seriously interfere with my reading or meditations. the joggers don’t inconvenience the ducks and geese very much. my leering doesn’t seem to deter the young beauties, or motivate them to cover up.
the ducks spend a lot of time in the water, but never get wet. are they wise, or simply blessed?
