There was a actual issue of Haitians coming her with AIDS. Also when visiting the south back in 2000 a southern city said enough on Haitians being planted here with no jobs and no skills. The city said that they already had too many and putting a drain on the city paying for their housing and welfare. The Haitians wanted more to come and crying racist if we didn’t. Then after the quake they’ve been here years now as temporarily and still here. Then read they were going across the border in Taxis to Canada trying to get refugee status because their visas were running out.Probably still are and there will be probably some clueless Canadians that will fall for it then regret it. Mexicans tried it to go after the mining jobs saying they were refugees from the US. They weren’t even citizens of the US. They brought them here and had no return plan.They probably have Daca kids too. Total mismanagement.

I almost just bought some PLG. Platinum group metals. But ran out of time. Its way way down to .49 cents from $40. This may be 2001 all over again. A lower dollar adjustment, and or shortages from extremely low prices for 4 years. A new commodity boom.

I bought some yesterday, on the fly. Its a good bet if bullish on commodities. It was one of my best performers many years ago. Note the same late 2015 bottom like Gold’s bottom.

What they don’t like is that they base their power on using us as ATM machines. It’s hard to track money movement or COLLECT TAXES OR CONFISCATE crypto currencies just as they did with phyzz making it hard to travel with it without having to claim it.

(Reuters) – The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday passed a bill to renew the National Security Agency’s warrantless internet surveillance program, overcoming objections from privacy advocates and confusion prompted by morning tweets from President Donald Trump that initially questioned the spying tool.
The legislation, which passed 256-164 and split party lines, is the culmination of a yearslong debate in Congress on the proper scope of U.S. intelligence collection – one fueled by the 2013 disclosures of classified surveillance secrets by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.
Senior Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives had urged cancellation of the vote after Trump appeared to cast doubt on the merits of the program, but Republicans forged ahead.
Trump initially said on Twitter that the surveillance program, first created in secret after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and later legally authorized by Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, had been used against him but later said it was needed.
Some conservative, libertarian-leaning Republicans and liberal Democrats attempted to persuade colleagues to include more privacy protections. They failed on Thursday to pass an amendment to include a warrant requirement before the NSA or other intelligence agencies could scrutinize communications belonging to Americans whose data is incidentally collected.
Thursday’s vote was a major blow to privacy and civil liberties advocates, who just two years ago celebrated passage of a law effectively ending the NSA’s bulk collection of U.S. call records, another top-secret program exposed by Snowden.
The bill as passed by the House would extend the NSA’s spying program for six years with minimal changes. Some privacy groups said it would actually expand the NSA’s surveillance powers.
Most lawmakers expect it to become law, although it still would require Senate approval and Trump’s signature. Republican Senator Rand Paul and Democratic Senator Ron Wyden immediately vowed to filibuster the measure but it was unclear whether they could convince enough colleagues to force changes.
The White House, U.S. intelligence agencies and Republican leaders in Congress have said they consider the surveillance program indispensable and in need of little or no revision.
Before the vote a tweet from Trump had contradicted the official White House position and renewed unsubstantiated allegations that the previous administration of Barack Obama improperly surveilled his campaign during the 2016 election.
“This is the act that may have been used, with the help of the discredited and phony Dossier, to so badly surveil and abuse the Trump Campaign by the previous administration and others?” the president said in a tweet.

What’s to stop them from settling anyone in cash who stands for delivery? I suppose word getting out that the physical is gone might be damaging to the exchange but it seems you’d need a player that was large enough to do the damage. I don’t see anyone who’d make that challenge unless they were a sovereign nation like China or Russia.

The weak link in the Rig is physical Pm’s, they are running out of physical…China and India between them took over 2500 tonnes in 2017, on a conservative basis. Without China the World produces 2700 tonnes…..that doesn;t leave much for anyone else. Plus the heavy odds that all those PM ETF’s are all paper backed.

Plus somewhere are all those millions of contracts, the Rig has taken on in all the mkts, someone may squeal.

The biggest thing that’s happened other than the Fed in 1913 with unlimited money printing is technology. They have everything completely dialed in on the software side, I don’t think they have to lift a finger. The algo’s do it for them.

I think this is why we may not ever see a Bitcoin type move in pm’s unless there is some sort of collapse.

I just noticed something. Hecla HL and Coeur Mining CDE are the top silver stock performers today. Those two I noticed over the decades are popular with the non-gold/silver bug masses. So maybe the outsiders with tons of bitcoin and dow profits are looking at our sand box. 🙂
