Loading ...Thanks, that was pretty neat. The guy sort’a looks like me too, with the light hair and beard. My hair’s not that long though. That photo is probably from the ’70s. Everybody had big hair back then.
I started with a 1965 Chevy cargo van, finished the interior with paneling and carpeting etc set up for camping. It was great for the kids too. We could go out, visit friends, and leave them in the van outside in the driveway.
No need for a baby sitter, had sleeping bags and a little TV in there for them. At the same time I had a new ’69 Camaro, but enjoyed the van more so sold the Camaro. Also at work, I’d eat lunch ahead of time, then go out to my van set an alarm, and take a nap.
When the weather was nice I’d have the side door open. A couple of my co-workers saw this and they did the same thing. Bought vans, fixed them up inside so they could do it too.
