I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion.

JMHO but I believe they always have sufficient longs to dump in less than a minute to spook the market and after the legit traders hit the exits, they cover slowly.

Always appears there is no short covering. The covering last week was the legit traders

Where these PM’s are so hard is like today…last week the option granters sat on prices to knock out loads of calls…so the logic would be they have to cover shorts today, yet we get an even bigger sell off.

Rarely if ever does one see short covering…all shorts just get left…where ??????

(TSX:FF) (OTCQX:FFMGF) (FRANKFURT:FMG) (“First Mining” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Voluntary Agreement (“VA”) with the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change in Ontario (the “MOECC”) to complete certain requirements under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act (the “EAA”). Has the worm turned? Caledonia wants to expand in Zimbabwe

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:48 on April 23, 2018

Investors are encouraging Africa-focused Caledonia Mining (TSE:CAL) to expand operations in Zimbabwe, given the new political climate in the southern country.

Following the ousting of president Robert Mugabe, the new Emmerson Mnangagwa administration decided to knock out the rule that established that all mines had to be 51 per cent owned by Zimbabweans. Only diamond and platinum assets must comply with the order now.

Given this new scenario, Caledonia’s head of corporate development Maurice Mason told Reuters that the company has plans to work on mines that had previously been forced to shut because of a lack of investment.

USD on a tear, 10 yr. almost hit 3%, commodities getting crushed pretty much across the board but silver always gets crushed worse than anything else

I guess the bottom lime is that you can’t hold anything pm for more than a couple days unless you are short

Once all the “to the moon” silver articles came out it was time to sell.

The beat goes on…

Re Billary

Have read that Bill got a lifetime pass when Governor of Arkansas, for ‘allowing’ the CIA to run guns out and coke in to Mena Airport…head of CIA at time HW Bush….Hillary of course has totally abused that pass……but it may explain why, nothing ever gets done about them.

I think that’s what happens every day, with the communists trying to lead the markets in their favored direction. Imo the futures markets are propaganda. Simple price controls. It works over time until a price gets so distorted it rotates the supply or demand.

That $28 Oil we had was BECAUSE of the $140 Oil we had. The $140 oil caused the glut. Then the $28 oil was the result, more use and less capacity.  The $28 Oil is now causing the present day $68 Oil.

There is no stability with this man made fake economy with fake money. Life for everyone would be a lot better with stability.

I guess this is what happens when peace breaks out and trade wars simmer down

OPCW Chemical Inspection Team Reaches Douma After Issuing Statement Negating “Russia Cover-Up” Claim

“However, in spite of multiple international headlines, Western leaders, and journalists who reside far outside of Syria claiming a chemical cover-up conspiracy in the making, the OPCW in official statements confirmed that they were prevented from visiting Douma not by Syrian or Russian authorities, but by United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), which has the final say over OPCW movements within Syria. ”

Mitt Romney fails to secure Utah GOP nomination, will face primary

Mitt Romney did not win the Utah Republican Party’s nomination on Saturday, meaning he must compete in a June primary election as he seeks to replace retiring US Sen. Orrin Hatch.

After a wild and raucous day of voting at the Utah GOP convention, the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee was unable to win the 60% that he needed to head to the November ballot unopposed. When none of the 12 candidates were able to cross that threshold, the party continued with successive rounds of caucus voting until one candidate reached 40%.

On the second round of voting, Utah state representative Mike Kennedy emerged in the lead with 50.88%. Romney came in a close second with 49.12%.
