This is the view from my yard, looking south at the cloud from the eruptive vents five miles away. The tradewinds have quit and the plumes are going straight up and condensing clouds.
The summit crater has tamed down from yesterday’s steam shots and ash fall. But the summit area has had two 4.o earthquakes this morning, so more rockfalls into the crater hell-hole are expected.
