Just some instinctive thoughts. I’m no historian. So. Would it be fair to say the Jewish people left the Middle east 2000 years ago, and migrated north to Europe where they excelled? I would assume, if they never left the M/E they would might be somewhat backwards like the masses that stayed down there.

the “holy land”was promised to the children of abraham. just which of those children would have it (and how much of it, and which parts of it) has been a matter of dispute almost constantly since old abe kicked the bucket.
i think it is unrealistic to expect resolution of this question any time soon. (or ever, for that matter.)
i live thousands of miles from the disputed real estate – it is none of my concern. i wish our nation’s leaders could adopt this attitude. we do not have a dog in that fight, there is nothing for us to win.

But this works both ways. If you allow venomous hatred spewed on the site like what was posted last night at 2003 and 2104, then you have to allow people to retort. Those posts should be deleted immediately. You also have to stop the ad hominen attacks on posters who disagree.
