Loading ...Surfers are hard-headed… as you know. At the last “Eddie Aikau” contest at Waimea Bay, Oahu, Eddie’s brother Clyde got his arm folded back on his first wave as he went over the top. He popped his vest underwater and made it up and out of the water OK with a limp arm. He sat onshore for an hour and went back out on his next turn and still surfed a world class wave… with one limp arm. After he got back in they took him to the hospital to find a completely torn rotator cuff.
