In my view, it simply makes IMPORTS a lot more expensive. Its like putting a huge tariff on any and all imports. Naturally its bad if the country can’t produce its own food or fuel. And has to import it. But if all other imported consumer products can be produced at home, it would create production jobs at home, and FAR less jobs in the countries that export to Turkey.
I myself? Would love to see the dollar crash against all currencies. We can produce all our needs here. Imagine a $90,000 Honda or $150,000 BMW? Americans won’t buy them. Money stays home.
Especially a drop against the Chinese Yuan would be the greatest thing for America. But that can’t happen because Dopey/Dollar and Greedy/Yuan are pegged to a very narrow “façade” movement against each other.
