Sounds like you know what it costs to build a mine. Agreed, the company deserves what they get after the brains, hard work and layout. Hopefully the mine was operating for many years and owners were well rewarded. The “back yard” was just a figure of speech. A lot of other words I could use. Nationalism is bad. I’m just on the outside looking in. Reporting what I see. Not choosing sides. It’s not my fault that the system crashed, and what WAS isn’t what is anymore. I was always against globalization because Long term it’s not practical. Nothing lasts forever and nothing stays the same. My guess is FCX or Freeport, was screwed by the people that manipulate metals prices. Maybe FCX wasn’t profitable enough to pay decent wages and royalties?
