Believe it…the USA horoscope for October indicates that Trump has had a plan that involves the military and tribunals and intends to carry out this plan around the time of the October New Moon in Libra, sign of law and order.  Interestingly, this New Moon conjoins the USA natal 10th house Saturn…the president.

Equisetum @ 14:18 Re The Beginning Of The US Dollar Decline

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 17:34 on September 23, 2018

I read lots of economic books back in the 1970s and have a pretty good handle on the history. And have posted long ago about the evolution of the financial system since 1913. So I read the story, which seemed to have far more explanation than needed, until I got to the part below, and STOPPED reading.

PART:

“On December 29, 1969, the yield on the long-term government bond hit 8.05 percent. With interest rates, both long term and short term, at such high levels, the demand for gold bullion was finally broken, and the dollar price of gold fell to around $35 an ounce by 1970. For the moment, the dollar-gold exchange standard had been saved.” The Industrial Cycle and the Collapse of the Gold Pool in March 1968, critiqueofcrisistheory.wordpress.com

In February 1970 the closing gold price on the London market averaged US$34.99. On August 15, 1971, U.S. President Nixon ended the convertibility of the dollar into gold. With gold finally demonetized, the Fed and the world’s central banks were now free from having to defend their gold reserves and a fixed dollar price of gold.”

Comment:

The stories I read said Gold was trading privately in the black market at $140/oz, with the Official price at $35/oz. The artificially low $35 Official price encouraged foreign central banks (a no brainer) to send back US consumer spent dollars on imports or vacations to Europe.

(France the worst) and exchange $35 Dollars for Gold worth $140. We lost half our Gold reserves, (trade deficit, spending on imports) before Nixon stopped it because of public protests in front of the Whitehouse.  Our or their Gov’t was selling our Silver at .92 cents and Gold at $35.

Back in those days the motto was “Europe First”. The dirt bags have been net baggage for the USA.

After the foreigners were “cut off” the chump US Gold gravy train, they proceeded to after 1971 to absorb our Industries. You name it. Consumer electronics, textiles, cars, tools etc. The “drainage” or embezzlement culminated in the summer of 2008. How could the author leave all that out??? Unless it was explained further down.

I’ll believe it when I see it …

EMERGENCY REPORT: Signed Executive Orders reveal Trump is planning mass arrests, military tribunals for deep state traitors like Comey, Clinton and Obama

As the documents cited here clearly show, President Trump is planning to carry out mass arrests of deep state traitors, including Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, James Comey and even Barack Obama. This is fully covered, with accompanying documentation from the U.S. Federal Register, in the links and video below. (This author is fully supportive of this effort to save America and arrest the traitors.)

The confirmation of Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court is the key to getting this done in a timely manner, which explains why the deranged Left is going to such outrageous extremes to fabricate false allegations against Kavanaugh and stage coordinated, well-funded protests to try to block the U.S. Senate from confirming him.

Maya @ 5:20, Thanks, and yes he was. The picture does not do him justice as he is actually much larger than he appears in the picture.

The taxidermist used an extra large wolf form, the largest made, and said he still had to take lots of “tucks” to shrink him to fit the form. Compare him with a large German Shepard and add about 50% and you realize his size.

I have suffered lots of mixed pain and pleasure over the years for shooting him. Pain because I have always preferred living WITH nature and the wildlife, not killing it, and pleasure because after removing that leader the rest of the pack took my ranch off their circuit and I had no more predation from them. Before his demise they came through the ranch about every two weeks, running their circuit of about 50 miles, and I would suffer losses or be doctoring wounded cattle. My conclusion was their modus operandi in running their circuit was not necessarily to kill when they encountered their quarry, but to slash and wound and disable as much as possible; then continue on their circuit, knowing the next time through they would find those animals sick and easy prey to kill.

Anyway, he, and they, were just doing their “job” as nature intended, and I was just protecting what I considered to be mine.

JUDGE=There simply are not enough ‘no’ votes to keep it from happening. The democrats know this and it is eating them alive inside.I find solace in this:

3) The only ‘wave’ coming this November to the polls, will be the conservative victors waving bye-bye to the socialist democrats that are going to lose badly.
Of course, the battle for the 2020 presidential election is a whole other story.  I expect it to be nothing less than house to house fighting.  The democrats know that if they lose the big one in ’20, then Trump will very likely erase any and everything that the Dems have put into motion for the last 30 years and will change the face of the Supreme Court with, at least, one more nomination when Ginsburg goes down for her dirt nap.
*******************************************************
1) While this Blasey-Ford charade has been a massive distraction and an ill-contrived obvious delay tactic, ultimately Kavanaugh gets confirmed.  There simply are not enough ‘no’ votes to keep it from happening.  The democrats know this and it is eating them alive inside.
********************************************************
2) The ‘Russian Collusion’ narrative has run its course and we now know who the bad actors involved were.  A few will face justice, while others, mainly the ‘big fish’ will be allowed to go on with their pathetic lives.  Trump is prevailing, even with all of the saboteurs that surround him, and the whole ordeal only strengthened his base and added new members to it.  Which brings me to my last point…..

Equisetum @ 14:18, Thank You for reminding me of many of the wonderful, and sometimes tragic, memories of the past. I’ve thought many times of writing of these past events, knowing they would be enjoyed or in some other way make an impact on those who read them.

Posted by silverngold @ 20:36 on September 22, 2018

wolfTwo things have prevented me from taking that first next step; chronology and time. Chronology could be handled through a series of short stories where the chronological order of the events was not so important, but having to take time away from a continuing adventurous and busy lifestyle has stopped me cold. I’ve made a couple exceptions in the past though; one for BC WILDLIFE RECORDS when I was asked to relate the story I entitled CATTLE KILLER for their annual publication way back in 1985 when the wolf I shot, the leader of that pack of 20+ wolves, turned out to be the largest ever taken in BC to that date and won the Trophy of the Year Award for their annual wildlife records publication. That wolf I had made into a full mount that lays in front of my wood stove and scares anyone who is not expecting it to be there. The other was much more recently, in fact just last year, when I was asked to write one entitled SURPRISE IN THE HAY SHED, a story about my encounter with a young cougar who had taken refuge from bad weather in my hay shed. I’m happy to say there was a happy ending for both the cougar and I in that one.

Life has been full of adventure and still is, but many such things are more personal in nature and of little interest to others outside my close circle of family, friends, and acquaintances, but they are pure GOLD memories to me.

Maybe the day will come but for now it is definitely on the back burner.

British Columbia when I read this review by Rick Mills. He lives on a 160-acre farm in northern B.C. and his opinion pieces and reviews have been carried on many websites. We now live in an amazing internet world wherein anyone with something to contribute can do so whether they are in a rural setting or in an urban concrete setting. I liked this review of the U.S. dollar. Some US-based readers on this forum may be annoyed by what this review suggests for the future role of the U.S. dollar in the currency world. But that is precisely why I found this review educational. Cheers. Equiz

Did you get tired of eating all those cows? I know what you mean though it’s easy to got grab something in a fast food or was. It’s cheaper to take a family to a restaurant with a kids menu than go to Burger King anymore. However you can go to In and Out get a good burger for a few bucks.

Maya,
9 bucks for a burger? I went where the locals went in Oahu including Dennys. I went to little places the locals went with good food and this Hawaiian all you could eat that included mahi mahi for about 7 bucks then and a place with happy hour with really good Mai tai’s for a dollar and live music.
Meanwhile some tourists were complaining about the over priced hotel food like a dry chicken dinner with drinks for 50 bucks. Sheesh
That’s not really seeing Hawaii or getting to know the people.
Never thought about finding a fast food place. That’s a bit pricy. There going up to about 6 bucks here but variouscplaces have deals. Buy some protein powder grab up all that fruit put it in a blender instead.

Yeah, ‘retirement’ is a lot of work.  Upkeep on the volcano ranch is my aerobic exercise routine.   But you know….   I sleep a whole lot better after I dumped my market paper.  I don’t get up full of angst in the wee hours anymore.  I sleep well, knowing my physical is secure.

My daughter in law came over the other day with my grandson who was selling coupon books from the school that also went up 5 bucks from 20 a few years ago.
I brought up the prices for housing and esp rent. She told me there’s a place in Bakersfield a farming town that is renting apts for 8000 a month. Who’s going to pay for a apt in Bskersfield a dessert like town for 8000 a month. Bakersfield is or was full of crop pickers not San Fran tech town or other coastal areas and even there that would be to high.
You can see why people are becoming homeless.
Yes they should raise the interest rates ” a lot” it would serve them right. This is just pure greed.

Out here in the boonies of East Hawaii, the BK Whopper ‘twofer’ deal is $9 bucks.  Everything is extra inflated out here.  I think that’s how they keep the islands afloat.

it’s happening here and now.  the pace may vary from one country to another, but the whole world is inflating

in 1998, i was doing quite a bit of traveling in my work, and eating a lot of junk food.

two everyday commodities that are a rule of thumb for me, regular unleaded gasoline and burger king whoppers.  there may be more scientific ways to gauge inflation, but these two work for me to get a quick and dirty reading.

1998:  gasoline a little under a dollar a gallon – whoppers, 99 cents.

fast forward to

2018:  gasoline $2.79 a gallon, and whoppers are on special, two for six bucks.

that’s roughly a triple in twenty years right here in the good old u. s. of a.

The Fed Is Screwed, Boxed In, Like A Checker Game That’s Not Over Yet, But No Good Moves Left, And Losing Is Obvious

For one, real estate prices are too high compared to wages. Raising rates to calm it down, might pop the bubble. NOT raising rates will make the bubbles continue to get bigger. But consumer borrow rates need to stay low to encourage spending, buying of cars and homes.

Houses should not be investment thing, just a consumer product. Thank God food is not an investment vehicle. Imagine if it was possible to invest all your savings in food? Hording food? Buying more than you need? I see that with real estate.

The excess saving or investment funds are SUPPOSED to go to Gold and Silver. It won’t matter to, or hurt consumers, no matter how high AU and AG get. The only people hurt by higher AU and AG would be jewelers, and jewelry consumers. And who cares about them? They’ll have to adjust.

With all the stuff going down in South Africa as of late (as if what has been happening for the last 5 years wasn’t enough) like land expropriations and thinking like this:
And the market still carries on as if the South African banking system is the most respected and stable in the world and that the “Rainbow Nation” economy is an economic miracle.
Dow Jones Global Bank Index relative to FirstRand in USDs

What fool would be short world banks on a P/book of 1x and long FirstRand on a P/book of 3x?

And that isn’t even taking into account the socio economic macro trends of South Africa and the “expropriation” policies/desires of the ANC government.
