TPTB can’t let Gold prices get too low, or too high, both would suggest deflation or inflation. If, if, they have been supporting Gold, the natural price would be lower. It might have been costing them a fortune to support the $1200 price, and that would explain the many small $2-$4/oz movements we’ve been looking at for so long.
Nothing is well with the global economy that crashed in 2008 anyway. It may have been natural market forces driving gold lower and they may have been forced to support it. Like they do with real estate and auto sales. A friend of mine hangs out in a coin store and it sounds like a lot of poor people that inherited silver coins etc turn it in cheap, and don’t care how much they get for it. It’s found money for them.
If everything is in reverse, in the future, it might include a restoration of the value of the original US Dollar, but NOT, NOT the restoration of the Fed Note Dollar. Think about why TPTB since 1986, has “$50” stamped on a Gold Eagle coin. For the future? Fed notes could very well crash in value since they are like the stock certificates of the USA “corporation”. The past is slowly unwinding.

Interesting thought but not likely. If the scum were supporting we’d be a lot higher. They cannot let gold rally because it would indicate everything isn’t well in paradise.

I wonder if that’s the case where that guy standing outside the court was arrested for exposing these criminals to the world. It seems it’s political where they are ALLOWING this to happen to create fear and suppression of their people and keep washed down themselves while dumbing down or suppressing the people.
These ugly creeps even attack their own and why Arabia separates women and children from the men and don’t have as big as a problem then other Muslim countries. The other Muslim country’s women don’t want them either saying their not safe around them and fearing attacks by them.
All their tough talk to little girls don’t mean anything. They’re there because they lost and if they follow their own rules it’s them who should convert to Christianity.
Where are their parents? I did see in another case where the mother reported it but the police did nothing about it and heard the gov is telling them to do nothing about it.
Can’t think of any other reason they’d let them in other than trying to reign terror over the country or using them as human shields while they run wild inside instead. Swedens worse don’t even deport them. One girl killed herself after the courts did nothing. So this is more a attack on the people by the government to remain in power and to sidetrack from real issues.

The entire world will use less diesel oil delivering various products accross oceans and continents. Lower oil in turn should make a lot of other things cheaper. The past situation after 2008 has been naturally trying to go into deflation, while the PTB have been begging for wage inflation to support their past “creation”. For all we know, the so called scum, may be fighting to support gold prices to avoid a deflationary phychology.

Poetic justice? The higher dollar has been climbing side by with Gold for a change. We were already in correction, so the situation is off stride. Or, Dollars and Gold are now getting favored as the new safe havens for the new mixed up, transitioning disrupted global trade future.

I guess I just love pain. I’m a pain magnet. 🙂
What keeps me going is the memory of the run in the HUI from 35 to 600, although I didn’t get in until about 130. Funny, that’s pretty close to where we are now.
I don’t know if that will ever happen again and the waiting and not being in FAANG stocks has cost me big time. If we ever get another run like that we’ll have 10 baggers all over the place. Sadly, that’s the only way I’ll get some of my losses back.

Do think the AMZN miss is a big deal. I’d think that’s a measure of the consumer economy.
FAANG stocks have carried these markets for a long time, we’ve seen how much the Nasdaq can fall if this becomes like 2001.
Gold still yawning, up a few bucks but more importantly fighting a strong dollar again
