if you really want to get mad, watch the press conference today and the bullshit that Jim Acosta from CNN pulled when questioning Trump. Simply amazing that he allows a piece of shit like Acosta to even allowed to participate.

I can hardly stand to watch any news.  Been yelling at the news people for years about their lying.  Trump comes along and calls it fake news and my family is like “ wow, Dad been saying that”.

I understand how you could get a belly full. What I find disturbing is how many people in our country just don’t see the threat.

I cannot watch election coverage on TV.  For many years working as a TV engineer I had to go out to these HQs on election nights and set up live TV coverage from a hole-in-the-wall cheap office rental.  I think I have PTSD from it all.  Can’t watch it on TV.   Reading about the post-mortem the day after is bad enough.

The good news today is that AG Sessions was fired/resigned.

i haven’t heard anything from trey gowdy lately.  he’s a firecracker as a prosecutor and investigator.  i’m not sure how that skill set would work out as a head of a cabinet level department, but it’s an interesting idea.

even if he does, i’m not too concerned.  the senate is solidly republican.  51 – 45 at the latest count.  mississippi has a runoff coming up that’s almost certain to go republican, that’s 52.  arizona and montana are both republican with thin leads – with nelson/scott, that makes three toss-ups with heffalumps leading.  final count, min 52, max 55.

even if nelson’s re-count prevails, he’s not in good shape.  he’s 76 and looks like a cheap job of embalming.  chances he will still be there for six years?  if he croaks or retires, there’s a republican governor to appoint a successor.
