Looks like the scum and the protection team are both failing. US 10 year bond down to 2.86%.
Heads up on neti pots.
Woman dies from brain-eating amoeba after using neti pot with filtered tap water
If you use these things please boil the water for at least 10 minutes first. Poor woman was told by her doctor to do this. Tap water isn’t safe either. Beware when kids taking baths especially in summer not to get water up their nose.

Pearl Harbor DAY !
A DAY in Infamy…..
I got married on DEC 7 ,a day of infamy as I remind my wife …..of 61 years hehe
It was 33 degrees in Miami Beach one day on my Honeymoon,…..I hardly noticed….hehe
I stayed at a place called Atlantic Towers …in the Penthouse ..recently opened just finished construction..1957.
I loved Miami in the 1950’s spent every vacation there ,it was the most Glamorous place new hotels sprung up every year .I remember the opening of the Fontainbleu,Eden ROC,..etc.
WW2 had ended ,everybody had JOBS ,economy was booming everybody had money because during the WAR there was nothing to spend it on,Military economy ,you needed Ration Stamps to spend money ..no CARS were made for 5 years so cars sales boomed…Housing boomed, teenagers had plenty money and jobs ,nobody was on welfare, everybody worked….
1950’s were HAPPY DAYS…..the best the Country ever had..NOBODY did drugs,! rumors of a few musicians did marijuana that was it…..Americas best Days..
USD snapping back a bit
Gotta think the last thing the money masters want to see is a really ugly Friday close in the SM.
Don’t think they’ll let us close above $1250
Well folks
I’d sure like to go back and get together with all of you.
This cold weather is starting to wear on my ole bones. 🙂
aufever,
an hour south of orlando? i was born and grew up in winter haven. (blue devils ’62).
Alex
Me, too — live about an hour south of Orlando.
Feels like
We have the tax loss sellers battling the accumulators anticipating a year end/early 2019 rally
I like our odds with the SM squishy again.
Alex
That would be great. I don’t know when the next time I will be there because this was for a conference, but if/when I am I’d love to meet you.
BG – if you travel to Orlando from time to time
and I am back in the USA at the time ( currently I am in Colombia ) – we should try to get together for a meal . I live less than an hour from downtown Orlando , midway between Orlando and Daytona , a couple of minutes off I-4 , in a quiet little college town . We might even talk FloridaGold into joining us . Maybe even TreeFrog , if the weather is too nippy up North in the panhandle .
alex,
😉

As in Pearl , 77 years ago today .
Hey treefrog
I was in Orlando this week on business. Sunday, Monday was downright nice – mid 80’s, comfortably humid.
Wednesday started getting a bit nippy as did Thurs. am
Then I came home last night to a toasty 9 degrees. Body shock
winter is coming
mid thirties here in north florida…
it’s traditional for there to be a little nip in the air on december seventh.
Jobs numbers miss
155K lower than expected.
Good for a few bucks in gold up toward $1250 but immediately smacked back down.
USD a little weaker but nothing looks sustainable except for the SM coming back.
Looks like the same old to me except we’re not getting crushed yet.

That’s the best news we could have for G&S at this point. If the fund managers playing their spread games finally lose interest, prices could rise without these useful idiots to sell into (the banks).
Throw in a little stock market crash and a renewed need for speed in monetary debasement rates again — and we could be ready to rumble in the not too distant future.
Cheers
All eyes on the jobs report
among other things I guess
Will it be the usual monkey hammer Friday or something different?

Italian Divorce
A man and his wife were getting a divorce at a local court in Italy, but the custody of their children posed a problem. The mother jumped to her feet and protested to the judge that since she had brought the children into this world, she should retain custody of them. The man also wanted custody of his children, so the judge asked for his side of the story. After a long moment of silence, the man rose from his chair and replied: “Your Honor, when I put a coin into a vending machine, and a Coke comes out, does the Coke belong to me or to the machine?”
DON’T LAUGH…… HE WON!!!
