Did I understand from recent discussion here that jnug should not be held overnight?
Can it be a buy and hold if PMs start trending?

My Christmas card letter
This went out with my Christmas cards to friends and family, far and wide, so I thought I would post it here for my tent family also.
It has been an eventful year here and we are rather glad to see it go. Being a homeowner with 1/3 acre lot getting 150+ inches of rain a year is an ongoing job of removing weeds, vines, rotting wood, and general green waste. Several pickup trucks per week when we are working at it. And ‘retirement’ is a lot of work!
My house is built on a slab foundation atop gravel fill only a couple feet deep over the lava rock base. It is a good design for earthquakes as the slab floats as a single piece and the house holds together well. This was proven this year in late May when the second biggest earthquake ever recorded on the Big Island here struck us. It was a Magnitude 6.9 earthquake that went on (and on, and on…) for a full 40 seconds. That feels like an eternity when you are riding a chair like a bucking bronco wondering when it will stop. It is awesome to contemplate how much energy it takes to throw that much rock around for that long. The house survived with no damage. But it was only the beginning…
The geologists said that the earthquake broke an underground dike in the volcano plumbing, as the two active craters that were slowly bubbling lava suddenly collapsed and drained down into the mountain. Smaller earthquake shudders indicated the lava was moving downslope below the east rift zone. The east rift ridge began to swell and crack open and vent sulfur gas until fissure #8 began to actively erupt lava. This crater ridge is in the middle of the Leilani Estates subdivision, which was built in an area that had actively erupted in 1955 and 1960, and classed as “Lava Zone 1”… subject to eruption at any time. Creepy place to build homes, but some did… and lost everything.
There ensued a months long eruption with massive outflows of lava. The lava flowed downslope over 8 miles to the sea at Kapoho. Over 700 homes were lost, more than 2000 people displaced, and the whole Southeast corner of the island was isolated by lava. The eruptive vent was at 600 feet elevation about 5 miles south of my home, which is downslope at 300 feet elevation. The flow maps indicated we were likely OK if lava came this way, but you never know. It was a tense six months while record amounts of lava flowed down that river just a few miles away. We had red skies every night as the clouds reflected the red glowing lava below. It looked like a distant forest fire. Along with lava comes kilo-tonnage of Sulfur Dioxide smoke and fumes from the volcano vent. Fortunately we were mostly upwind at my house, but the south side of the island and the Kona coast were wrapped in “VOG”…. volcano smog…. for months.
People up at Kilauea summit area in Volcano village endured 3 magnitude earthquakes several times per hour as the summit crater collapsed and caved in on itself, pressurized the magma below, and forced out more lava from the lower east rift, some 3500 feet lower down the mountain. Finally it all ended quite suddenly as the summit collapse earthquakes stopped, and the lava outflows also stopped down below. The volcano has reached a stable equilibrium and for the first time since 1983 there is no visible lava nor volcanic activity to be seen. You never know for sure, but it could be quiet like this for years before the magma very slowly refills from below. So it has been a very exciting year living on the most active volcano on the planet. Hope you enjoy this holiday season! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Why isn’t this law being upheld?
It’s against Federal Law for Muslims to be in the US
1952 McCarran/Walters Act (Revised and reaffirmed 1965)
Chapter 2 Section 212“…any immigration without assimulation is invasion by enemy forces”
FWIW – CDE ten year
I suspect this is a chart of month end closing prices , not actual max & mins during the months .
If they keep raising ..sure,,,,
but they dont operate in a vacuum…..they said its “DATA DEPENDANT” didnt they ?
Trump will raise the Alarm ,he keeps everyone guessing and on thier toes dosent he..?
He dosent let anyone have reassurances he’s going to keep on keep on doing anything ,he ‘s not going to be PLAYED ..thats why they hate him.The crooks hate him ,thats why I like him .
You want him to be predictable so you can say ,he’right or he’s wrong..Its not going to happen ! He’s too smart for that ! Thats why he out smarts everyone ,they cant game ..him leave him alone ….as long as his outcome is beneficial .He’s the President ! He beat 18 wanna be’s didnt he ? Predictability is a serious weakness in the Swamp…you get eaten the predators…Look what happened to Gen Flynn ,he was VERY predictable ….honest trustworthy ,a patriot .and the Swamp ate him alive.Really ! Is that what you want? Predictability ?

I make no value judgment as to whether or not raising rates is the right or wrong thing to do. I am talking about reality.
Do you disagree with this statement: “If the Fed keeps raising rates then they are going to crash the SM?”
That is all I am talking about …. I am not talking about our “carefree youth” or what “should” be.
Ororeef re 99 % of kids in school haven’t got a clue !
@silverngold re We earned every penny we got so we were careful how we spent it,
Comment: We all had a lot more money to spend back then with a $1.40/hr min wage. Plus we never had to borrow, no credit cards. A three year loan for a new car was a piece of cake to pay off in 18 months.
No medical insurance. Dr came to the house for $5. If your kid broke his leg you took out a loan to pay for it if you were sloppy with your savings. Savers paid cash for Dr and Hospital child birth. NOBODY owned a Honda or Toyota. Mostly a Ford or Chevy, we lived good until the USA had shot gun marriages with communists, China and Russia. etc. A little wise ass sarcasm now.
If I were back in school I’d like the teachers to advise us to …
#1 Get a job as teacher fireman, or police man. Retire after 20 years service and start your own business and enjoy the defined benefit payments and life time health insurance.
#2 Any job that can NOT be out sourced to other countries.
#3 Try for any gov’t taxpayer supported job, pay and benefits are good. Post office highway dent parks debt etc. Town village county state federal etc.
#4 Avoid working for ANY small businesses, with less than 1000 – 2,000 employees. Especially unionized businesses. Its important for private sector employees to be self sufficient, be able to support tax absorbers and not be a burden on tax payers
#5 Stay away from any manufacturing jobs UNLESS you intend to eventually be an owner of a shop or factory.
#6 Start out working for a plumber, electrician, carpenter, roofer, duct work, cement work etc so as to learn the business then quit the job and start your own business, self employment. They are all real estate related tasks, and can NOT be transferred to other nations.
#7 Occupations in private sector supported by gov’t. like any global warming related jobs, national defense, airlines, real estate, auto mechanics, (benefit from clean air requirement). Infrastructure, roads bridges etc.
Note lots of teachers firemen and police have parents that were teachers and cops. They advise their kids to do the same. But teachers are MUM in the class room about that.
Ororeef @ 12:45 100% agree with your post!
That’s the society I/we grew up in. There was NO free lunch. We earned every penny we got so we were careful how we spent it, and we still are. Great Post, thanks!
Buygold= Coeur Mining (CDE) has 1 split in our CDE split history database. The split for CDE took place on May 27, 2009.
Coeur Mining (CDE) has 1 split in our CDE split history database. The split for CDE took place on May 27, 2009. This was a 1 for 10 reverse split, meaning for each 10 shares of CDE owned pre-split, the shareholder now owned 1 share. For example, a 1000 share position pre-split, became a 100 share position following the split. When a company such as Coeur Mining conducts a reverse share split, it is usually because shares have fallen to a lower per-share pricepoint than the company would like. This can be important because, for example, certain types of mutual funds might have a limit governing which stocks they may buy, based upon per-share price. The $5 and $10 pricepoints tend to be important in this regard. Stock exchanges also tend to look at per-share price, setting a lower limit for listing eligibility. So when a company does a reverse split, it is looking mathematically at the market capitalization before and after the reverse split takes place, and concluding that if the market capitilization remains stable, the reduced share count should result in a higher price per share. Looking at the CDE split history from start to finish, an original position size of 1000 shares would have turned into 100 today. Below, we examine the compound annual growth rate — CAGR for short — of an investment into Coeur Mining shares, starting with a $10,000 purchase of CDE, presented on a split-history-adjusted basis factoring in the complete CDE split histor

Spending Money
is not money management..any FOOL can spend money ! Why dont we teach to think about money management in our schools ? instead of Social adjustment,(How to be a good communist).in other words shut up and sit down ..you little idiot.
If you keep them busy thinking and working they will figure it out ! Give them incentive …make them earn thier money ,then let them manage it…Thats how you start teaching about money management ..How much did you earn this week ?What do you plan on doing with the money ?
Think about how your money can make more money ! saving,? yes, then investing ! 99 % of kids in school havent got a clue ! Earn it must come first, then save it,then invest it ,then spend a little as your reward as you wish.None of it has meaning if they dont earn it .
They will grow up and get into Government so they can spend other peoples money ,never having had to earn any .its meaningless to them. They bankrupt everybody.

ITS A MATTER for those carrying debt to worry about. Those Corporations carrying cash will go up ,an opportunity to acquire assets cheap will present itself .Dont think of it as “all or none mentality”its going to be very mixed Market .Why did you think Trump signaled to our Corps to bring the CASH home ! He had a PLAN..!He was going to make use of that CASH to buy the rest of the World CHEAPPPPP.The outside will be starved of cash ,those inside will have a very “HARD” dollar THAT WILL BUY A lot AS CURRENCIES with DEBT OUTSIDE BECOME WORTHLESS.
]The US Stock Market is inside the US monitizing internal Assets will give them tons of hard cash to buy the rest of the world.Thats why China & Russia are BUYING GOLD hand over fist and linking thier money to GOLD..They know the Plan ! They dont want to be bought out !.Those curriencys will be ok….Russia is a resource based economy down with oil for a short while, then up .Mexico & Canada the same they are mining economies.Look at the Toronto stock exchange its making LOWS going into january …then look at 2016 chart that what s going to happen ! are you ready !BANG ! up on GOLD !DJIA very mixed if you have cash your ok.They have to manage that cash well ,no doubt ! use it to grow future market share .Ill give you an example .theres a Brazilian food company ,one of the largest in the World in the food business ,not managed well and is begging to be bought out because of Government stupidity with the currency ..A 5 $ company that is worth $50 a share..in the Food business thats unheard of in the US…
Better financial management will buy out the lesser .YES foreign Governments can stop those acquisitions for political reasons,at the risk of them going broke if they dont allow it.Thats the weakness of communism ! bad management…They think like democrats to get votes ,not profits .
How can you help poor people if your broke ?.
There is risk fooling with interest rates ,mistakes will be costly …Dont make mistakes ! manage your assets to advantage. The Gold Market is making Lows when it should be making Highs because of interest rates watch for January signals major bottoms Jan 15 or so….then everything flips .Interest rates will FLIP TOO…timing is everything !

If the Fed keeps raising rates then they are going to crash the SM. If you don’t “get that” then I don’t know what to say to you.
