A loaf of bread in 1950 was 12 cents. $1 bought 8 loaves of bread. Today?? $1 buys only 4 SLICES of bread. And the stupid Fed Note system has that $1 broken up to 100 parts, pennies. So in reality, the smallest denomination ONE penny is equal to 4 slices of bread cut up into 100 parts.
The smallest denomination these days should be ONE US Dollar. .49 cents go down, .51 cents go up to the nearest dollar. That’s two slices of bread value up or down.
