If the Judicial tried to over turn it they would have to prove the welfare of non citizens over rides the welfare of its own citizens. For one Linclon was not only a republican but his Emancipation Proclamation she mentioned was a executive order in effect. Rosevelt she referred to made some executive orders too including “internment of the Japenese for our safety.” Then we had operation wet back as a strain on American employment by illegals. Social services she mentioned were meant for citizens not anybody can come here after our money like illegals. In fact there was a case back then where a person got deported and wanted his money he put into SS and he didn’t get it.
These other countries should have their own SS.

It’s worse for them in Venezuela because they’re having a economic collapse unlike SA but can understand why the people of Columbia resent it. It’s not just about humanity of others when it could threaten your own stability.
I was hoping in Trumps speech here would call a national emergency to fund the wall and reform to stop some of the flow of illegals piling in but guessing his lawyers advised him not to yet. Meanwhile calif and NY is offering them a free lunch. I guess the no free lunch only bad apples to the citizens.
Congress could over rule a executive order but would be a majority think 2/3 vote I don’t think they could get because Repubs still have the Senate.
He might be planning a trail of difficulty from the disgusting unsafe financially sbusive actions of the Demos to show cause. Most already think he has cause now.
I wonder if we can get these sanctuary states in breach of fiduciary duty to its taxpayer citizens not to mention dereliction of duty to the rule of law.
Congress if they had any guts at all should call them out start immediate sanctions on these states and investigations.
All they see people as is dollar signs. No quality of living just quantity of money they get like parasites, but don’t live with the effects themselves.

Folks from Venezuela are pouring across the border into Colombia seeking work , because for them , the Colombian Peso is like gold , because it is a ‘stable’ currency .

Colombians , of course resent the Venezuelans , because they are depressing wages .

Here in Colombia the exchange rate this morning is over 3100 pesos per US$ , The smallest coin I have seen is 50 pesos – less than 2 cents US . But at the supermarket on Tuesdays and Thursdays , you can get a small net bag of 4-6 Haas avocados or a pineapple for 1000 pesos ( ~30 cents US ).

The last time I was in Italy ( pre-Euro ) shopkeepers would have a dish for coinage and if you had change coming in coins , they would take it from the dish . I guess most patrons would just put it back in the dish , much like folks in the US do with pennies now .

I can remember Cokes for a nickel (plus 2 cents deposit if you took the bottle out of the store) , and penny candies that were 3 for a cent .

not so.  u. s. coinage is not used to any significant extent in other countries.  almost all of them have their own coinage.

Re the US Dollar and the lack of anything you can buy in the USA with a dollar, in some other countries a Dollar goes very very far. That would explain why the TPTB are still stamping out pennies nickels dimes etc, for use in other countries where people can live on $5 a day. I’ve heard some interesting stories about how MUCH you can buy with a Dollar in India and the Philippines. I call it the traitor dollar because it’s better for foreigners than for Americans.
