probably today…if a cop stopped me for a traffic violation, all I had to do was say “officer, can’t we just settle this now?”–I’d. pay 20 bucks or so and be on my way…if that didn’t work, I’d just to to the court house and there would be lawyers hanging out in. the lobby who would take the ticket and 25 bucks and say they’d “take care of it”…was a great city back then…great action and great food!!
