Treasury is more afraid of Crypto Currency than they are of GOLD & SILVER,in FACT I’ll bet they want Gold & Silver to be strong competitors for CRYPTO and Treasury might give us the Green light in order to keep CRYPTO at bay …Politics makes for STRANGE bed fellows ….!Facebooks s LIBRA scares the hell out of them..! WE are gonna have Government promoting Gold & SILVER ,,I betcha,I betcha…
Better the enemy you know you can live with ,than the one you dont know !

“I would argue with you right now that the People’s Republic of British Columbia, which is regarded as a superb place for politics, is extraordinarily risky. The BC provincial legislature is a joint venture between the Socialists and the Greens. Not exactly mining’s best friend. The wealth grabs that the BC legislature in Vancouver City Council have made frankly protectionist racist taxes on foreign investors are, I think, a harbinger in the future. So, when people talk about cultures and political risk, people need to discriminate I think based on their understanding of the culture that they operate in and the culture that they are familiar with. Yes, Brazil has a long standing history of formal corruption. I would ask you what the difference between a campaign contribution and a bribe is.”

Silver shares are starting to notice.
Silver may have to drag gold along for the ride today, plenty of room to run.

They want to launch a Crypto Currency that threatens the Dollar……and Treasury Secretary warned them about playing with the same rule as the Banks …..including regulation…! So the DOLLAR continues its up path ..This makes life difficult for Trump and his Trade plans… and the gold Bugs..
Theres no way the Treasury is going to let Facebook damage the Dollar and its position as Reserve currency…..Treasury and Fed Reserve are not going to let that happen Manuchin politely threatened them yesterday .

That may be true. But this may also be the time when the beach ball gets out of their control and comes flying up to the surface.
The tape says lots of pressure in the pipe. Don’t fight the tape.
She’s gonna blow at some point.
Ahoy mates.

If. the dollar keeps going up, though…gold may. not crash but probably wouldn’t make much upside. progress. Every. day now, it’s. the same skirmish…up and down a few bucks
Who woke silver up?….curious. thing about silver the past. few days is that. silver miners haven’t really responded very enthusiastically-there’s always something screwy!

Yep. Maybe they’ll take this opportunity to cover some positions.
As you say, silver hanging in there
Things could be a lot worse, considering the head winds of the stronger USD and rates.
You’d think those great retail sales numbers would be bad for a stock market that’s hoping for rate cuts.

Yup…bullshit numbers in a bullshit market.
They are running out of the commodity at an accelerating rate however — and they can’t screw with that — tick tick tick.
Let’s see how things end up today because so far silver is holding up well.

That would be awesome. Silver certainly has a lot of catching up to do.
The silver stocks had a decent day yesterday for the most part.
Impact Silver in a nice uptrend and looks like volume picking up a little

Yes but silver is looking good. Maybe it can tear the bankers a new one today. It would be nice to see the option granters pay again this month. Such a thing has not happened in a very long time.
Cheers

mostly because the pound is weak on the never ending Brexit saga
Still surprising that gold is consolidating above $1400 – long day ahead though
Goldman Sachs earnings big beat – I’m stunned

Hindsight being 20/20, I am SO glad my old job prospect at KOMO fell thru in 2008. It would have been a disastrous finale’ to my career. My friend there also got the axe but is still working in his 70s down in Florida now. As it was here I still got the ‘early retirement’ axe, but at least I was able to stay in the islands.
Local news content is driven by ‘ratings’ and they feed whatever the eyeballs want to see. Being a TV News director is one of the most volatile jobs in the industry. Bad news ratings, and the News Director gets changed like dirty underwear.
