I’ve been trading commodities since the 1980’s, and have been in a few bloodbaths. The one I couldn’t overcome was the grain market crash and Penn Square Bank bust at the same time. The recession in Oklahoma was deep and long. It took me 7 years to get back on my feet.
The economy in Oklahoma is overheated again and primed for another oil field bust. The inverted yield curve has me more than a little worried.
I’m currently long sugar, and JNUG and SQQQ etf’s. The grain report is tomorrow and should be bullish corn. I will take a shot at it if I can get in at low risk.
I should be processing cannabis soon. Maybe I can make a few bucks before the feds move it to schedule 3 or totally unregulated.

so if Epstein isn’t dead, what do you suppose they did with him?
and if he’s alive, who has him and for what purpose?
Definitely one of the more interesting mysteries in my lifetime.
Hi Equiz, Nice looking young one you’ve got there. Gonna be a giant, same as the one I posted on the 7th…..but so far they are both just in their infancy. Giving credit where it’s due, that Sitka Spruce project was orchestrated by David Walden from Kalamalka Research Station who came annually to record the growth of those 800+ varieties. I’ve lost contact with David since selling the ranch but I’d guess he’s probably long retired by now the same as we are. Thanks for the memories.
Real name Warren Wilhelm Jr.
You mentioned once that you were formerly the keeper of young Sitka spruce
seedlings. Here is a Sitka, about 9 years old now, which I planted in its present location about 6 years ago. When I look at this sapling’s inter-node height increment for the last couple of years I am reminded of that satisfying graph you posted on 7 August, under the heading ‘Here’s a pretty picture in Canada today’, in which gold priced in Can. $ is creeping ever upward like the leader of this young Sitka spruce. Have a good day. Equiz.
Rich, check out SQQQ to short the NASDAQ.
