I remember talking to a girl about it in the early 60s who were Hungarian friend of my Hungarian relatives in Denver. We were in her basement making poppyseed bread and she told me how they had to escape with a long treck with only what they could carry and gunfire was everywhere trying to shoot them. She was too young at the time to know what was going on but remembered something bad happened to their country they were shooting at them and barley escaped with their lives.
