Another 100 days like today and we’ll all be happy campers!
“Lots of cracks in the egg”
That’s a good way to put it. Humpty’s losing his balance.

Action today ended up looking pretty good.
I was pretty negative on the shares and even the metals. Doesn’t sound like a rate cut is coming this month but since the Fed is doing QE4 by another name I’m not sure how much that will matter.
Repo’s still going on, SM looks shaky. A lot of cracks in the egg.
All that and we seem to be pulling out of endless wars despite the deep state demands. Go figure.

dollar index chart at netdania, starting in the summer of 2014, i see a massive, malformed head and shoulders top forming what may become the right shoulder.
as i say, it’s malformed, but if that is what it is, it will likely be really ugly when the fit hits the shan.

Minutes after Powell delivers “Not QE”, President Trump appears to have taken the trade war to DEFCON 1 as headlines drop that the US is imposing visa bans on Chinese people linked to the human rights buses in Xinjiang.

“Just need the Crimex to collapse.”
That’ll be Christmas and New Years rolled into one.! Seems inevitable but they can sure fiddle around until it happens.

Funny how Powell feels the need to call QE4 something other than what it really is. There’s another article on ZH I haven’t read yet explaining the Repo debacle. I’m really curious how that came about. China buys 100 tons. Just need the Crimex to collapse.
Would love to see the deep state get taken out by Trump. Graham doing that for Guiliani is a big surprise to me. Just hoping Trump didn’t need to make any “deals” to get it done.
Still want us the hell out of the Middle East.

Apparently according to ZH he’s starting QE4 without wanting to call it that.
Graham allowing Giuliani to make the case of Biden’s corruption in the Senate. That’s what I call winning. Just hope Trump didn’t have to promise Graham a war or something.
Deep state in trouble?

The Fed’s Powell scheduled to begin speaking right now.
Doesn’t usually go well for us when he opens his yap.
We need him to sound uber dovish…

The Yom Kippur Eve message broadcast by IDF Chief Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi held the key to Israel’s intention: “We will not let harm come to Israel and if it does, we shall respond with power.” This shorthand phrasing meant that if, on the 66th anniversary of the grim 1973 war, Iran’s leaders decide on another surprise attack on Israel, like the Sept. 14 cruise missile-drone assault on Saudi oil facilities, this country, unlike the US and Saudis, will hit back at strategic targets on Iranian soil. And if the attacks come from Hizballah in Lebanon or Shiite militias in Iraq, now massively armed by Iran with ballistic missiles and air defense systems, then Israel will direct its counter-offensive at those sources.
Kochavi’s words were carefully chosen. He did not say “all our power,” only “power” – thereby leaving the IDF with the option of follow-up counter-operations.
He went on to say: “We have seven eyes open, conduct day-to-day situation assessments and make professional and responsible decisions with regard to offensive action for preempting threats, while also preserving balance.” The chief of staff was making it clear that no movement or military preparation across a vast swath of terrain in Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon is lost on Israeli watchers, in the determination not to be caught off-guard like the US, Saudi Arabia and Israel itself were on Sept. 14.

REPORT: Pelosi Considering Pulling Plug On Impeachment Dumpster Fire?
Democrats are a failed political party without any substantive ideas beyond their ongoing hatred of President Trump and his remarkably successful America-First agenda.
Now, the party and its floundering leadership are looking at a rising tide of support for the president as more and more details emerge about what appears to have been a badly botched attempt to use impeachment for nothing more than shameless political gain. From Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff being caught lying multiple times to a so-called “whistleblower” exposed as a CIA Deep State operative, the entire thing has been an embarrassing sham for Democrats that threatens to further weaken and destabilize the party from all sides
Via Fox News:
Another day, another scandal that’s sure to trigger the Trump administration’s downfall—if only the American people would be less picky about what the definition of the word “evidence” is.
The Ukraine Call Transcript. The Whistleblower Complaint. The Impeachment Inquiry. The pieces of this latest impeachment jigsaw have reached mythic status, bolstered by frenzied reporting, and insistence on the part of Democrats and advocates that this time, they’ve got the president right where they want him.
Even before we saw the transcript of President Trump’s July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Democrats and their friends in the media were already imploring the American people to accept as fact that the president had betrayed the nation’s trust by asking for foreign help in undermining the 2020 elections.
After the White House released the declassified transcript, the game changed. (It was a swift move by President Trump that caught Democrats flat-footed and blew a MAGA-sized hole through their far-left narrative that the president had done something wrong by trying to get to the bottom of what is now widely agreed to be potentially very serious Obama-era corruption on a global scale.)
Realizing there was no illicit request—and thus, no grounds for impeachment—leftists quickly turned their focus toward the intelligence community’s “whistleblower.”

That’s kind of my concern is that they will get the shaky long futures guys to puke their positions although they’ve held up pretty well so far. The way the shares are acting makes me feel like they’ll end up puking.
BTW – I really hope Trump wins this battle with the Deep State – what an evil, corrupt bunch.

The real worry is all the wonderful funds long futures. If they can scare those idiots out of their record position at some point a dip below $1400 is coming.
Everything else looks good though…no? The global economy is falling apart. And the Deep State is accelerating the coup at home gangland style. But that’s not a good reason to own gold apparently because even with that the US is still the prettiest ugly sister…so the $ remains bid.
Imagine that…what a world we live in…chuckle.
Cheers

I guess against a down SM it’s OK, just feels like they’ll spend the day chipping away at the shares while they keep gold at or below the $1505 mark.
Hope I’m wrong about that.

once again shows that the idea that the PM shares will follow the SM down is in error … instead we are usually gaining when the SM sells off.
