whatever it was, it was good. i always try to sample the local treats. another memory of that trip was when we camped on a bluff in nova scotia, above the atlantic. a really international moment, an american family camping in a sioux tipi (poles carried on a jap pickup), grilling lobsters over a fire, and eating them with a cheese sauce from quebec (something like melted brie) and corn on the cob roasted in the coals.
restaurants are o.k. but i can usually do better.
