Re Debt
Now that the precedent has been set, whereby a CB can buy it’s own debt, with new debt and no-one questions it, in that the mkts don’t drive its interest rates through the roof, it does look like there will no end.
However as u say at some point the multiple of assets to debt will apply, though God knows where…..but the other problem is u now have the likes of Sanders and AOC out there, who really do see magic money trees. Before too long one might get elected.
R6 – Debt doesn’t matter
Seriously. Everyone knows it will never be re-paid, it’s all monopoly money anyway. The sad thing is that someday down the road our politicians will concoct some deal with our debtors as if the money is real and give away our great treasures or our natural resources as a method of re-payment. That’s if they haven’t done so already to the Federal Reserve.
Looks like day 3 of a little “stairs up” rally like we’d see before up a few bucks for a few days before the elevator comes in and takes us down $20 bucks.
Hopefully we’re about at the end though.
