Ipso facto I agree with you 100% you got the wrong impression

I’m glad you said something.

My only point was my view on globalization in reverse. Populism growing. Globalization Ship sinking, every man country for himself. Your part about…

“The farmers don’t want ANYONE developing these projects.” In my view is the “excuse” or fake temporary reason. And after miners go bankrupt or pull out, the farmers “minds” might change. Do to newer propaganda.

On the POSITIVE side? Shutting down mines will lower the Gold supply and keep prices high for the other miners. Eh? 🙂

The protest against mining in Mendoza province is for environmental reasons. The farmers don’t want ANYONE developing these projects.

Almost all mining companies develop projects outside the countries where they are headquartered. If you think this is wrong you should sell all your mining shares.

Maddog @ 8:42 Big Business Is Racing To Stop Little People From Using Diesel

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 10:37 on December 30, 2019

My view is Diesel is very important for big businesses. You name it. Aircraft, Railroads, Ocean shipping, Trucking land shipping etc etc. So, the LESS diesel demand from the LITTLE people, makes it better (less/demand/cost) for the BIG pigs at the trough. Eh? 🙂

Hasn’t anyone noticed, lesser quality diesel is more expensive than higher quality more refined gasoline. Heating homes in the North East using Diesel oil AKA #2 heating oil is very expensive these days. Diesel is supposed to be cheap. So big businesses or central planners got many people to spend money switching to natural gas for heating homes.

ipso facto @ 9:50 re Mining Companies In Argentina Getting Wings Clipped

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 10:23 on December 30, 2019

As soon as I saw that story, my thoughts were, they are all or mostly foreign owned miners. So the “natives” hamper them, hopefully they lose money and pull out or sell the land cheaply and pull out, then the natives change the rules back to “anything goes” and THEY make the money, rather than let foreigners take the gold and sell it.

So I googled Mining Companies in Argentina. 144 of them. A few are domestic. Its an interesting list. with web sites.

Massive protests force Argentinian governor to abolish mining law

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:50 on December 30, 2019

Following a week of protests, the governor of Argentina’s central province of Mendoza, Rodolfo Suárez, announced that he will send a bill to the legislature to abolish Law 9209, which allowed for cyanide and sulfuric acid to be used in mining operations and which modified its predecessor Law 7722.

The new law was swiftly approved last week and it sparked massive, daily protests across the province. Some rallies caused transit disruptions on roads that connect Argentina with neighbouring Chile.

Protesters, many of them from left-wing opposition parties and environmental organizations, argued that the new law threatened the province’s waterways and water supply.

With all those new rules and fines it doesn’t look like the EU bureaucrats want to have an auto industry in Europe at all. Pitchforks on the horizon? Is Germany going to seize up like France? Stay tuned.

Former US President Barack Obama is now in severe legal jeopardy, because the Russiagate investigation has turned 180 degrees; and he, instead of the current President, Donald Trump, is in its cross-hairs.
