#Iran FM confirms that #IranAttacks are concluded & Iran will not escalate if US doesn't strike.
Hope & pray cooler heads prevail. https://t.co/DJ4bLDX9oX— Farnaz Fassihi (@farnazfassihi) January 8, 2020

bodacious volatility in spot prices tonight !

Me neither but it would be nice to stop this thing before it gets out of control. Hopefully Trump himself doesn’t want war with Iran.
ipso 21:20
i like that idea. i’m not sure it’s realistic.
Perhaps
this missile attack is enough so that the Iranian leadership can say that they retaliated for Suleimani’s death while not being strong enough to cause the US to attack them and cause a general war.
Time for a step back?

“Iran is warning that if there is retaliation for the two waves of attacks they launched their 3rd wave will destroy Dubai and Haifa.#iran #Soleimani #war”
If the Iranians attack the Israelis then they are inviting attacks on all their nuke facilities. Hmmm what is that about 3-D chess.
Here is a list of all the Iranian aircraft. What a mishmash of US, Chinese, Russian and French planes. A lot of them are outmoded.

Mr Copper. Maddog
The private sector needs a union. It’s being syphoned by the public sector like the Tower of Pisa .
Seriously, it needs a representative and to stop drawing money out of SS. It should merge with SS and stop taking from private to pay for it as well as stop raising the retirement “ correction” ages.
It had no checks and balances and needs one SAP.

@Maddog Re Pensions Bondo Bucket Economy
Thanks for that info, re Pensions Broken System. The system is very vulnerable. Its very old and tired. Had to be fixed too many times over the decades. Like a tangled up fishing line. And Silver is so cheap we can use it to make sinkers.
Bondo Bucket: An old car on which the body is largely composed of fiberglass body filler.

Any normal mkt would have a huge investigation going on, as to whether the shorts can deliver and the longs pay for it all….that there isn’t tells us that the longs are a state and not any old state…the shorts of course are known…
Plus not a soul talks about in the MSM…..
Mr.Copper
Yup the system is completely broken, when it comes to public employees versus private sector ones, in both employment and retirement.
In the UK we have local council heads earning over $ 500 k p/a, then retiring on massive index linked ( inflation proofed ) pensions …in contrast people in the private sector can barely buy a decent pension, as interest rates are so low, annuity rates pay nothing, so they have to keep working….
To make matters worse they raised the retirement age to 67, which meant a lot of women have to work an extra 7 years…..but public sector workers, retire early on full pensions, due to spurious medical grounds….!!!!
Ipso, Maddog
Ipso – yeah, Wallbridge was probably a good buy this am and I missed my opportunity, the thing has been a beast.
Maddog – Crimex default. No doubt they don’t have the physical to cover that amount of contracts but they sure keep adding and someone on the buy side keeps matching them – or vice versa. Never seen it go on this long without the metal price breaking down. Much prefer to see the Crimex go extinct.
Hope we can close strong today.
