Yea I was a millionaire in ’03 on paper, now I just hoard cardboard for my retirement home.
R640
AAMZN plus 220, that is nigh on 12 % and TSLA did 10 % today…that should be blow off territory.
Hard to get too excited these days
But be prepared for silver and silver miners to potentially rally more than gold and gold miners
Yesterday TSLA–tonight Amazon-up $220 after hours on earnings…are these mini-volcanic eruptions the spectacular, speculative
fireworks that portend an end to a 10 year bull run? I can’t imagine what would stop this market…but no one can ever see the cause…not today…in 2008…2000…1929 etc etc…Amazons p/e is only 83…not bad compared to p/es back in 2000
Maddog-well the WHO announcement was the pretext–Deer79–actually the announcement had
a few soothing features–namely, that the virus was not so lethal but of standard flu severity–also they praised the Chinese for their efforts to contain it…and they also mentioned that it hadn’t spread [yet] much outside of China…
I think the SM still might have a corretction to undergo regardless of the virus…tomorrow it might go nuts the 1st hour and create a nice double top which sly ole FOX R640 just may take a shot at fading…Also, manana is Fiday and then the weekend to worry over…I’ll see the set up tomorrow…the virus is not a dead issue vis-a-vis the SM…scary headlines could still be a factor
Maya @ 14:03
Probably works better than a paper mask. I’m all for it. Linus Pauling would say YES! 🙂
Maddog
Yeah no surprises, just the usual disbelief and disappointment for sm bears and pm shareholders.
Really don’t see anything that changes things, just have to be prepared to hold pm shares for a day or so and sm shares forever because they’ll always be rescued.
Buygold @ 15:24
I disagree … if enough of them started making noise … or heaven forbid ‘organized’ like the Arabs … it would matter considering the actual supply / demand situation.
But it might be better to just let all unfold naturally now … who knows.
As Russell Peters would say … somebody is gonna get hurt real bad.
Chuckle
I guess we should not be surprised by the SM
after all the algo’s/machines can’t be killed by the virus ….who needs humans.
Mr Copper
That is nice, I’ve seen some of these places on TV. To me personally it’s not about wining or losing ,it was a sort of joke. It’s about sharing opinions and facts then coming to your own conclusions. You and others here know s lot to and have a clearer picture of the past. For instance when financials come out it can make me see cross eyed lol
Captain, Maddog
Captain – yeah well said but the mining executives won’t. They don’t have the clout. So it might just not happen in our lifetimes.
Maddog – seriously unbelievable.
deer79
Good call…they are panicking because they may not have enough on board, when they croak !!!!!!!
R640
tks for that TSLA ….ur right….utterly insane….he not only needs to sell loads of cars there, but is building a monster battery plant…..
Plus I heard somewhere that he has secured loads of new financing from China, which is why the stock has gone ape…!!!!
This is one for the history books.
WHO
Declares coronavirus a world health emergency. You know what that means?………It’s a buying opportunity!
What it’s all about
Mining execs need to grow a pair and get the effing bankers to back off the manipulation.
It will happen naturally at some point, but again, we may all be dead.
In the meantime, these clowns continue to play the banker’s game at the expense of shareholders, not to mention the public.
We sure can’t count on self-serving politicians to protect the public … that’s for sure.
Just look at the circus in Washington et al.
Even Trump has bent over to the bankers.
I guess it’s either that or take a bullet.
Oh ya …. that’s the circular argument that ends the same way every time.
Depressing no?
I think I’ll run out and buy me some GDX and SLV calls.
Chuckle
goldielocks @ 1:53
I’m sure you would win arguments with me, you seem to have been to many places, and know a lot of stuff I’m not familiar with. I don’t consider myself a New Yorker, because I’m not in NYC, and grew up about 40 miles east, when we had lots of woods and farms.
Sometimes horse and wagons would go by the house, and horse manure in the street. Also horse and a wicker like wagon that for 5 cents would take us for a ride around the block. My grandfather had chickens, and practically the whole property had vegetables and some fruit like strawberries figs etc.
I also remember once a vacant field nearby where some American Indians had set up T-Pees. I don’t what the reason was or celebration of some kind I guess.
TSLA has been rock sold bid up $64 all day on 2X the daily volume–that tells me that the virus
problem will soon be contained [TSLA has much at stake in China]…TSLA is a bell weather for the extreme speculation and over valuation of the stock market which means that drooling bargain hunters could take this market up on the slightest pretext
ipso facto @ 9:19
How many other masks are infused with Vitamin C like that? Gotta be somewhat viral protective. 🙂
Maddog @ 12:41
Ah… but THEN it will be worth a $million/oz! 🙂
–I was surprised to see the 10 yr note and 30 yr bond still very well bid at the close today…if they are flat to up again–however slightly- in the a.m. that will give me some confidence to short an energetic opening rally via VXX…
