There is no putting this virus back in the bottle. So we are going to have to “LIVE WITH IT” down the road a few years. That means we will either have to develop immunity (or a vaccine)… or die.
Interesting info. that Chinese male smokers are most susceptible to the virus. Smoking increases the ACE2 receptors in the lungs, and males have more ACE2 receptors than females.
One examined chinese male had five times more ACE2 receptors than the average caucasian male. So it would appear the chinese are five times more susceptible to the disease than caucasians.
Keeping your immune system in top shape is the best defense. If I caught the virus, I would begin dosing myself with MMS until it clears. Past experience with the flu virus indicates recovery can be rapid overnight with MMS. At that point your body recognizes the virus and you are immune.
We live in interesting times.
Enjoy your wine and your music.
I think it’s going to take about half the world being infected by the Coronavirus before the SM might notice.
BTW – calling folks “chinks” while it doesn’t offend me at all, weakens your case when you criticize Macroman for his derision of other ethnic groups.
JMHO, but freedom of speech cuts both ways. No ethnic group is sacred if we’re free to speak, and as we know, white Europeans aka white people are now the most discriminated and hated group of people in the so-called “civilized western culture”.
Just saying…
TSLA is up $33…was up $50…that’s all u need to know…lol
Tonight will be a biggy, as if the Chinks release another set of big increases, that might break the stalemate, as it seems the mkts can’t really believe all is ok…
If the No’s are down then we’ll see new Hi’s etc in the SM…..
Meantime I’m listening to Otis Taylors ‘Hey Joe Opus Red Meat’…with a large glass of Red wine
Cheers
but I think this day sucks.
Same shit, different day
Yeah, bonds regardless are well bid most likely because they are the somewhat safe vehicle in the world that has any yield?
That article you posted a couple of days ago from Tom Lee makes more and more sense. $300 Trillion chasing US assets that “appear” to be safe.
That and the PPT = the SM will never go down again in our lifetimes. ?
now bonds are up again but not near their hioghs…I think there’s a small chance stocks sink and have a bad close…like down 300-400…they really need to correct..if my calls het in the 9 to 10 cent range I may repurchase to have then for the next 8 trading days…the mkt is vulnerable to news…
Getting the move it should have gotten when earnings came out a couple of days ago.
I guess we have to wait a couple days for good earnings to set in after knee jerk scum selling.
People have certain expectations when they buy a car. For example, they expect it to work for years afterwards needing only basic maintenance. They also expect that the purchase price includes ownership of not only the physical car itself but all the software that runs it.
Tesla doesn’t agree.
Last week, Jalopnik ran an article about a person who bought a used Tesla from a dealer—who in turn bought it at auction directly from Tesla under California’s lemon law buyback program—advertised as having Autopilot, the company’s Advanced Driver Assistance System. The entire Autopilot package, which the car had when the dealer bought it, costs an extra $8,000. Then, Tesla remotely removed the software because “Full-Self Driving was not a feature that you had paid for.” Tesla said if the customer wanted Autopilot back, he’d have to fork over the $8,000.
Prospects brighten for Northern Dynasty Pebble mine on leaked draft study
A leaked draft of an environmental impact statement (EIS) on Northern Dynasty’s (TSX: NDM) proposed copper-gold mine in Alaska has brighten up its prospects, suggesting nearby terrestrial freshwater resources and downstream fisheries could co-exist with the project.
While the US Army Corps of Engineers’ document is not final, it could mean the government is closer to issuing a long-sought permit for the $100 billion copper-gold mine in the Bristol Bay, southwest Alaska.
Shares jumped up as much 9.4% to 70 cents on the news on Wednesday, to close at 69 cents, the highest value so far this year.

The SM doesn’t correct anymore.
I guess I’ll believe a correction when I see one…
Iran starts election campaign with thousands barred from standing
THe Guardian Council, which must approve candidates, has rejected around 6,850 moderate or conservative hopefuls in favor of hardliners from among the 14,000 applicants seeking to contest the Feb. 21 vote.
About a third of lawmakers have also been barred from standing again.
“The 7,150 candidates who are running for parliamentary elections have started campaigning on Thursday,” state TV reported.
I may buy back…gotta see how far they take it up

and suspension of parliament for an indefinite period…like 20 or 30 years…can rid the body politic of the leftis cancer–the same applies to the u.s. and all of europe…no gulags…not death camps…just a massive re-education campaign…a benevolent dictatorship…and mass deportation of illegals…for starters…
the much prayed for, [by the bulls soze they could scoop up “bargains”] elusive 10%/20% correction has not happened…maybe the renewed threat of the virus will be the “alibi” for such a correction….but the way it looks now…there will be a vigorous effort to turn stocks green…i noted that treasuries are still green but well of their highs
it looks like they want to bring back futures-at least now at 8am…this bounce in futures doesn’t rule out a big down day, though…I gotta watch this one…
I guess the Coronavirus matters this am?
