When I was about 16 I think I read what I thought was a horrific story about doctors searching for immortality used these poor monkeys to see if a head of one monkey transplanted on another Monkey would survive. It survived for awhile but they could not repair the nervous system. Also the monkeys had a immune response rejecting the body.
