the selection of a president immediately falls to the house of representatives. but not to the members of the house. TO THE STATE DELEGATIONS IN THE HOUSE !! EACH STATE GETS ONE VOTE !!
the democ rats have a majority of house members, but there are a lot of small states whose congressional delegation is dominated by republicans…. here’s where the fun begins!
