After Slamming Western Media “Hype”, Chinese Officials Issue Highest Flood Alert As Three Gorges Dam Pushed To Limits

The Huaihe River Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources issued its highest flood alert Monday after the water level on the major river, located between the Yellow and the Yangtze Rivers, reached dangerous levels.

The water level at the Wangjiaba hydrological station on the Huaihe River reached 29.7 meters on Monday, well above the danger level of 27.5 meters.

The Gold Short Squeeze Is Getting Physical, Beware The ‘Others’

snip

Conclusion
I suspect, though I cannot prove, that there isn’t all that much physical gold backing unallocated bullion accounts in London used by swaps to notionally hedge their Comex shorts in New York. If there was, then why not import the gold from London where it theoretically is? Isn’t that the point of being hedged physical gold in London? If there isn’t much there, that might be why so much gold is being imported specifically from other places into JFK, presumably much of it to the Comex vaults, which must be within a certain radius of New York City by Comex rules.

Comex now has enough gold in its vaults to cover 207,848 contracts. The active August contract still has 289,325 contracts of open interest on it at the time of writing July 19. We’ll see how many traders roll August into December by July 29 and how many do not, and how much physical gold Comex has left over come that date and into August. I suspect that much of the gold being imported into the US through JFK is being imported to physically cover the swaps’ Comex shorts. If even more “Others” stand for delivery on the 29th, the swaps will have to import even more. And the physical gold short squeeze, I believe, already well underway, will intensify still further.

“A small dog is better than a cat though”

LOL You got that right! My present dog is 60 lbs medium size I guess. The good thing about smaller dogs is if they get sick you can pick them up and carry them easier, take them to the vet. Bigger dogs can defend themselves against coyotes and other dogs etc.

Is it too late to pledge

Posted by puptent @ 16:32 on July 21, 2020

Would like me to make a pledge

Thanks Warren for your pledge to the fundraiser!

“two bucks”

LOL That WAS a long time ago! I don’t think $100 silver is unreasonable in the next couple of years. The way they are printing money it could be more. Just guessing.

For nervous gold and silver bulls….”fear rises with price”–nose bleeds appear…

Posted by Richard640 @ 16:04 on July 21, 2020

Bulls have been waiting for years just for this moment…these possible historic breakouts…I am giving every benefit of the doubt to G&S…maybe a stock crash could halt the rally…maybe…then there are the “high rsi worrywarts” that should soon appear…good luck to all….DYOD JMO etc etc

As for the stock mkt…why is the 10 yr up 6/64ths…not much…true…but why up at all?

From Sentiment Trader yesterday:

The Nasdaq is up more than 2% to a 52-week high. Fewer than 53% of stocks on that index are rising today. This last happened in February 2000. Of the 7 dates in its history, 6 of them were in 1999-2000.

silverngold @ 15:28 where he suggested you check out Metalla (MTA.V).  Although Metalla was originally formed in 1983, it is only in very recent years that the public has taken notice of this streaming company.  We have held it in our core PM portfolio since this stock caught public attention in the past few years, and we have no intention of parting with it for any reason.  Metalla’s website lists their streaming partners.

ROYALTIES? I’m on SAND

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:01 on July 21, 2020

But there are plenty. In order of market cap, biggest caps first:

FNV $28 bil/cap, WPM RGLD SAND OR MMX EMX MTA ELYGF SROYF $49 mil/cap. Bigger caps safer, smaller caps higher risk higher return?

The first three, and 5th and 6th pay divs, the 4th no div.

I like Black Labs. I had one it was so smart, looked me in the eyes and paid attention. Understood what ever I said. No fences here, busy road, I could let it out the front door and she’d bring in the paper.

I could let her out the back door, wouldn’t leave the property about 3/4 acre, and if I clicked the storm door handle 5 clicks it would come running in. If I couldn’t see her? I do 1 or two clicks?

She would stick her head in view of the door like “I’m ok I’m here”. Also if I made her smell something? Then I’d hide it and she’d find it real east. She’d even fetch your sneakers.
