I’ve gotten a lot of letters and comments lately condemning my failure to go all-out against Mr. Trump. So, I’ll state my current position plainly: I didn’t vote for him last time, but I would vote for him this time to keep the Democratic Party out of power. There’s a lot to not love about Mr. Trump in his persona and manner. There’s a great deal more to fear about the prospect of Democratic Party control of government. Their enmity to free speech cannot be doubted after a decade of promoting cancel culture. Their appetite for coercion is at odds with the Bill of Rights. Their bad faith and dishonesty have been on display through all the concocted melodramas of RussiaGate and its offshoots. Their economic program is a mashup of all the failed central planning regimes from the bygone 20th century and is wholly inconsistent with the new imperatives to downscale and re-localize the real productive activities of daily life in this country.

I think you’re right about the masks. Instead of making people feel safer they are a constant reminder of the risk and make people more fearful.

I find that it generates paranoia in the more sensitive Bürger*innen. A couple of weeks ago girl in my office had to provide coffee to a meeting and she had to wear a mask and gloves to do so. As she was putting on the gloves, I noticed her hands were shaking. It is designed to scare people.

Although some Länder are demanding an end to the facemask rule, I notice that this is widely dismissed. On the contrary, the measures are being increased. For example, DB recently extended this rule to open-air platforms and Merkel stated yesterday that any local outbreak would lead to an automatic ban on travel from any affected area.
If there is a second wave – and it is inevitable considering the criteria used – a devastating economic crash awaits.

Like MLK Said you don’t Judge a person by the color of their skin but the context of their character. That’s not what their doing. The left is encouraging outright crime and anarchy and trying to blend the two so if you speak out your attacked.
The problem with the right is that they’re not standing by the ones who do speak up.
This also won’t help the ones in power making the decisions if their not backed by the people or having to listen to their demands to stop the anarchy and crime. Are they thinking better them than me?
Problem with the left is their falling for it and made to think what ever they do is justified. That there should be one way their way and everything should be the same. This is not what the USA and our constitution is about.

I don’t know if you ever saw the video below before about a 3 rd grade teacher that decided to teach her class about racism. She subjected the children who were friends with each other to division where one side was better than the other.
She saw these well mannered caring children who were on the superior side turn into little nazis while the other side learned to see them as monsters and hate them as well as the teacher for putting them through it. Then she reversed it the next day.
This was before mass housing projects loads of drugs coming in and gangs popping up making it worse.

As far as cops if they want more restrictions On how they handle combative people or just plain resisting they need to have more cops not less. Also it’s not the cops in general that are the problem. They are the cause, the police are just dealing with the effect. Not only that they mismanaged taxes and defunding Police is a way to get out of paying them. I hope the police stand their ground and people with them. The other cause is a corrupt judicial system that also pulls the strings on the police. They’re all just letting the police take the fall for their own doing.
