A little profit taking going on but we know where the major move is going. How it stands at the end of the day will be of interest.

War Footing: Egypt Answers Turkish Naval Drills With Own Large Exercise On Libyan Border

The Jerusalem Post explains:

Turkey has increased its military intervention in Libya in recent months, sending ships off the coast, planes to bring weapons, mercenaries and armed drones to the country. This is ostensibly to support the government in Tripoli which is fighting a civil war against forces in eastern Libya.

But it is actually part of Turkey’s desire for a greater role in energy exploration in the Mediterranean and aimed at weakening Egyptian-backed opposition forces. In response Egypt’s president hinted during a tour of a massive military base on Saturday, that Egypt might intervene.

As we go through our day let’s stop for a moment and give a thought and a prayer to Floridagold who is having serious health issues.

Re Deflation in USA? Big Business and Big Gov’t Screwed Themselves

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 9:44 on July 10, 2020

When they both neglected to maintain accurately, after 1970, the Minimum Wage and Maximum Hours Act of 1937.

Naturally the cheap skate businesses have influence on the government. Plus we all know the bankers always wanted inflation numbers under stated to keep gold cheap and protect their fake dollar.
Add it all up? Young adults entering the workforce after high school, and for 10 years after that, don’t make enough money to contribute to society.

A big part of the population that got thrown under the bus, and big businesses and Gov’t needed them. Business attitude was…

”those are only starter jobs, they don’t need or deserve good wages, from there later on they’ll do better”

This rally is ALL tech. While 76% of NASDAQ 100 members are above their 200 dma, less than 40% of S&P members are above their 200 dma. Tech is trying to lift up the index, other stocks aren’t participating. This has pushed the gap in breadth to an all-time high. Worrisome?

Inflation data came out really weak indicating deflation

Posted by Buygold @ 8:47 on July 10, 2020

I kind of think a deflationary cycle is good for gold because it has to be fought with fiat and more liquidity.

PPI fell -0.2% vs. expectations of +0.4%

Last check of the Ten yr. it was down @ .58% surely on its way to zero. USD is flat – surprisingly.

Could be another strong day for us today.

Fundraiser Stats – Looks really good so far folks! So far committed is $1650 towards a goal of $2K

Actor Robert De Niro is claiming that the coronavirus pandemic has dealt him a serious financial blow in the latest round of his divorce battle with estranged wife Grace Hightower, according to a report from the New York Post.

Lawyers for the anti-Trump actor reportedly argued during a virtual court hearing Thursday that De Niro cut Hightower’s credit card limit because his restaurant chain Nobu as well as the Greenwich Hotel have been forced to close or partially close due to the virus.

They said Nobu lost $3 million in April and another $1.87 million in May, and that De Niro had to pay investors $500,000, which he borrowed from his business partners “because he doesn’t have the cash.”

It was recently revealed that Robert De Niro’s Nobu restaurants and hotels took 14 coronavirus relief program loans worth $28 million. The Raging Bull actor is believed to be personally worth $500 million.

I met one too a friend of a friend at a county fair. Very decent very strong young man. He was in a wheel chair though cuz he broke his back bull riding. His wife at his side pushing his chair around. I hoped he would recover but will never know or how bad it was , if he did because I moved from the area. Dangerous sport.

I actually knew a bull rider a few decades back.  Friend of a friend & they were vacationing in Hawaii and I took them around a lot.  He was slightly sociopathic, live life to the fullest kinda guy with the sickest, funniest sense of humor I have ever encountered.  After the first week all he had to do was look at me and we both would bust up laughing.  I kinda think he enjoyed getting pounded by the bulls.  Yeah… sick inside but not always apparent.
