DRDGOLD (DRD +1.3%) in a trading statement indicated earnings of 82.5c for fiscal year ended June 30, compared with 11.8c, a year ago, owing mainly to revenue increasing by 52% to R4,185M, boosted by higher revenue of East Rand Gold Operations (ERGO) to R3,064.3M, and Far West Gold Recoveries (FWGR) to R1,120.7M.
DRDGOLD’s headline EPS is also poised to soar to 82.4c a share, compared with 10.9c last year.
Sibanye-Stillwater has secured a majority 50.1% equity holding in DRDGOLD, in an acquisition described as being key to DRDGOLD’s surface operations strategy.
At ERGO, a 33% increase in gold price received offset an 11% reduction in gold sold, the result of a 3M tonne decrease in throughput to 20.2M. FWGR reported its first full financial year of Phase I production in the period.
The increase of 8% in cash operating costs is also reflective of the total volume throughput increasing by 8%. Cash operating costs per unit were stable at R100/t.
As reported by Bloomberg earlier this month, DRDGOLD was this year’s best-performing stock on the MSCI ACWI Select Gold Miners Investable Market Index.

COVID restrictions and mandatory vaccinations are outlawed and nullified by Common Law Assembly; Citizens are encouraged to resist police state measures as officials are threatened with fines and imprisonment.
Parksville, British Columbia (Republic News Service)
In an historic act of direct democracy last night, the Oceanside Common Law Assembly (OCLA) passed a Public Safety Bylaw that prohibits COVID restrictions and mandatory distancing, masking, quarantines, and vaccinations anywhere in the communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach on Canada’s west coast.
As of today, anyone who tries to impose COVID regulations on the people of these communities can face fines and imprisonments by OCLA and its Common Law Court.
Citing International law, the Assembly Bylaw states that these COVID regulations “are unlawful, unwarranted and medically unsound measures that threaten and assault the fundamental liberties, health and security of the people of our community … Therefore it is ordered that no-one is obligated to consent to or comply with any of these regulations … and anyone is free to actively resist and disobey such regulations and measures by any means necessary without fear of legal consequence.”
The Bylaw concludes by accusing anyone who tries to impose COVID regulations on the community as being part of a criminal conspiracy and threatens them with “penalties and imprisonment upon conviction by the Common Law Court of Parksville … All police authorities are expected and compelled by law to enforce this Bylaw or be charged with obstructing justice and democratic process.”

Google claims to have simulated chemistry using a quantum computer for 1st time in human history
Researchers at Google claim to have run the first-ever simulation of a chemical reaction using quantum technology, in a move which may mark a new era in our understanding of the universe around us.
The Google AI Quantum team used their 54-qubit quantum processor, Sycamore, to simulate changes in the configuration of the admittedly rather basic molecule called diazene, which consists of two nitrogen atoms and two hydrogen atoms.
Sycamore, like all quantum computers, uses logical units called qubits which exist in the hazy, ‘either/or’ realm of theoretical physics, which allows quantum computers to carry out unfathomably complex calculations of a type and on a scale that traditional computers cannot handle – essentially performing the erstwhile impossible.
The research was published in the journal Science and may mark the humble beginnings of an entirely new approach to chemistry.
