I remember my mother and I driving past a black neighborhood described like you said and she wondered why they didn’t take care of their homes or houses.That they could go out and do a good job at work “ before affirmative action” but not their homes. Aside from thinking of a working single parent I said maybe they can’t afford it.
It doesn’t cost money to mow the law though yourself or take the leaves or pick things up.
Affirmative action or based on race or gender instead of merit or best suited for the job will not bring the best in this country or outsourced.
