is now tropical storm sally, centered over south alabama. losing strength after landfall. (hurricanes are heat engines, gaining strength by passing over warm water). there was some damage as the storm (briefly at hurricane strength) came ashore between mobile and pensacola. it is now a mass of blustery wind and a LOT of rain. a spiral band just passed over.
fortunately, treefrog manor sits on high ground, for there is enough rain to cause localized flooding of low spots. i expect the yard will be a mess in the morning – leaves, twigs, and small branches everywhere.
no worries.
