I’ve been taking 5,000 IU daily since the study came out several years back that raised the minimum from 400 IU to improve immune function. The scientists suggested that the majority of Americans needed 5,000 IU and that toxicity was well beyond twice that value. Adequate levels of D3 take your chances of getting cancer or sickness of any kind DOWN by 40%… which is a huge improvement. That has been my experience, too. I just don’t get sick when those around me were catching the seasonal flu.
I also take vitamin K for endothelial blood vessel health, and magnesium… especially for muscle soreness & recovery.
