Loading ...My neighbor came a hair’s width of dying last year when diverticulitis burst at home resulting in sepsys .
They essentially gave up on him in the ER , but he is tough and hung onto life . Around midnight a wonderful surgeon said “This guy doesn’t want to die , get him up to the operating room – I’m going to make a repair.”
He did , and post-surgery , my neighbor friend was put into an induced coma for the next four days . Recovery was slow , but now 14 month later is pretty much back to normal . That surgeon even reversed the ostomy about six months later .
